Week 11

1) USF's Game

Sat 11/11 Syracuse (3-6, 0-4) @ USF (6-3, 2-2) - Noon [big Esat Game of the Week - ABC 28 / ESPN+ / ESPN Game Plan]

2) Games involving one or more schools on USF's 2006 schedule.

Obviously we should follow these games.

Thu 11/09 - #3 Louisville (8-0, 3-0) @ #13 Rutgers (8-0, 3-0) - 7:30pm [ESPN]

Sat 11/11 - Cincinnati (5-4, 2-2) @ #10 West Virginia 34 (7-1, 2-1) - Noon [ESPN2]

Sat 11/11 - #18 Georgia Tech (7-2, 5-1) @ North Carolina (1-8, 0-5) - Noon [ESPN+ / ESPN Gameplan]

Sat 11/11 - Pittsburgh (6-3, 2-2) @ Connecticut (3-5, 0-3) - 3:30pm [ESPN + / ESPN Gameplan Online]

Sat 11/11 - Louisiana-Monroe (1-7, 0-4) @ Florida International (0-8, 0-3) - 7:00pm [ESPN+ / ESPN Gameplan]

Sat 11/11 - Central Florida (2-7, 1-4) @ Memphis (1-8, 0-5) - 8:00pm [CSTV]

Sat 11/11 - McNeese State (5-4, 3-1) @ Northwestern State (4-5, 2-2) - 7:00pm

IDLE: Kansas (5-5, 2-4)

3) Games involving Notre Dame and Navy, because of their ties to Big East bowl games.

We want Notre Dame to do very well, to ensure more open slots for Big East teams.

Sat 11/11 - #9 Notre Dame (7-1) @ Air Force (4-4, 3-2) - 4:00pm [CSTV]

Navy has clinched the Meineke Car Care Bowl slot that would have gone to the Big East.

4) Games involving teams two ranked teams and at least one of the teams is ranked higher than the 2nd highest Big East team.

If the highest and 2nd highest teams can move up and up the polls, then there is at least a chance that 2 Big East teams could make the 10 BCS slots.  Big East ranks: #3 Louisville, #10 West Virginia, #13 Rutgers.

Sat 11/11 - #20 Oregon (7-2, 4-2) @ #7 USC (7-1, 5-1) - 10:15pm [FSN]

Sat 11/11 - #16 Tennessee (7-2,3-2) @ #11 Arkansas (8-1, 5-0) - 7:00pm [ESPN2]

5) Games involving a Top 12 non-BCS team, or a Top 16 non-BCS team ranked higher than any BCS conference's highest ranked team.

If no teams from the non-BCS conferences make the BCS, then that would mean 4 at-large slots in the 5 BCS bowls.  This increases the chances for 2 Big East teams to be selected.

Sat 11/11 - #14 Boise State (9-0, 5-0) @ San Jose State (6-2, 3-1) - 6:00pm [ESPN+ / ESPN Gameplan]

NOTE: Lowest rank of a conference-leading team is #18 Georgia Tech (ACC).

6) Other games of interest.

Sat 11/11 - South Carolina (5-4, 3-4) @ #4 Florida (8-1, 6-1) - 3:30pm [CBS]

Sat 11/11 - Miami (FL) (5-4, 2-3) @ #23 Maryland (7-2, 4-1) - 3:30pm [ABC / ESPN Gameplan]

Sat 11/11 - #19 Wake Forest 21 (8-1, 4-1) @ Florida State (5-4,3-4) - 8:00pm [ABC / ESPN Gameplan]

Ranks used are Official BCS rankings.

Go USF, Louisville, WVU, UNC, UConn, UL-Monroe, Memphis, McNeese, Notre Dame, anyone playing Navy (I still want them to lose), Oregon, 10-I-C (I love SEC teams out of top 10...i mean...I love parity), San Jose State, South Carolina, Maryland, and...well, my #2 is FSU...whatever (FSU could spoil UF's chances after we beat Louisville, heh).

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
