USF: It's all Bulls

TAMPA - A Sunday night game at Cincinnati gives USF a national ESPN audience and no football competition, with the NFL taking the night off, yielding to postseason baseball.

"You can't turn down a hundred-something thousand dollars," coach Jim Leavitt said. "A lot of people will watch our game."

INJURY UPDATE: Walk-on Eric Setser has been filling in for long snapper Ryan Bourdeau (shoulder) for four games, and Leavitt said Bourdeau won't return this season.

Guard Jake Griffin, who has missed four games with a broken foot, practiced a little and is a long shot to return Sunday, Leavitt said.

Receiver Marcus Edwards (concussion), tight end Ben Busbee (shoulder) and safety Nate Allen (quad) returned to practice.

I did not notice regarding Setser in for Bourdeau and Allen's injury. Has Allen been on the field? Hope we can still RS him.

Allen played sparingly in the 4th quarter of the McNeese St. game.

I'm almost positive Allen has played on special teams since the third game of the season. I remember seeing it and thinking he wasn't going to get much out of this first season. I don't think he can redshirt.

Nate Allen was on the Punt coverage team as well as KO return.  Remember him being in the middle of the KO first line instead of Moffitt.  I wondered why he was playing if all he was doing was on coverage teams.

In the Oracle CJL complained about the Sunday Night game. He has been extremely whiney these last few days.
