South Florida … Now that Ricky Ponton is back, the USF ground game has enough weapons to run on just about anyone. Benjamin Williams and QB Matt Grothe can also move the ball, and that will take even more pressure off the passing game. The defense didn't do enough to shut down North Carolina, but it was great against the pass and strong on third downs. The big boys are coming up, and the team is jelling at just the right time.

North Carolina … North Carolina just can't find anyone to throw the ball. Cam Sexton was way too inaccurate against South Florida allowing the Bulls to load up against the run. The defense was nothing special against the run, yet again, but the biggest problem is consistently generating yards and points. Someone needs to provide a spark on both sides of the ball or a 1-10 start is likely before facing Duke.
