The University of Cincinnati released a new version of its Bearcat mascot at the first-ever Bearcat Madness event held at Fifth Third Arena on Friday evening.  Changes include newly designed eyes, red highlights throughout the head and new ears. The Bearcat also has new whiskers, red eyes and bares its teeth.  The redesigned mascot is a result of the fan-driven branding forums held in June and July. Feedback from the forums was then shared with the newly-formed Athletics Branding Task Force. The task force is made up of athletics department representatives, season ticket holders, UCATS members, the UC Alumni Association, UC faculty, staff and students.
