i personally t hink grothe had the first down on the 3rd down run when he stretched the ball out....

I agree

So do I.  He held the ball out past the 1st down line, the  spot we got was lousy.

If you're USF, you're going to get lousy spots and lousy calls on the road. Especially against an established name team like Kansas. That's the reality.  Because we aren't an established name team, the reciprocal does not apply.

I didn't like the four runs early, but I really didn't like that Moffitt was exposed so easily the week before a team with a REALLY good tight end comes to town.

We have about a hundred CBs/Safetys...did we run any Nickel defense at all?

I AGREE 100%. But I also think it was a bad call to run a QB draw like we do on every 3rd/4th and short. Perfect time for play action.

If we want to run Grothe down there (or anywhere we need to pick up a yard or two), we need to roll him out with the option of running it or throwing a short pass.  He throws on the run really well and can hit a hole if he needs to run.

then why did you start this thread!!!????

leavitt made a good call.

i personally t hink grothe had the first down on the 3rd down run when he stretched the ball out....

either way, hindsite is always 20/20 and arm chair QBs should burn in hell

terrible call

you get points on the road firstdrive if you can

you dont leave points on the field

all tof the above is now magnified since game is shorter

we have no run game so youdont run 4 times up the middle

you dont try for td once!

that series demononstrated weakness of leavitt and smith.usf cant win with coaches ike those two

bad football  to say the least

that is why you get points when you can especially on the road

you need a running game for play action

qb draw second/third and long is signature smith/leavittt play
