BE teams need to keep winning because WVU's non conference schedule is going to drag them down.If L'Ville goes undefeated and it's them or a 1 loss team like Ohio State, Florida or Auburn, Louisville will get the nod.If WVU goes undefeated and the same senerio above, it will be close. They currently have the 2nd worst OOC SOS in the country. They need to hope those teams lose late or lose bad.
Guest R_to_the_izzo
WVU has the polls on their side this year. If they run the table they will be ranked 1 or 2 in the coach and AP poll. That alone would be enough to get then 1 or 2 in the BCS.
Sunil Posted September 21, 2006 Group: Member Topic Count: 79 Content Count: 1,260 Reputation: 0 Days Won: 0 Joined: 09/20/2006 Share Posted September 21, 2006 So long as there is at least one other major college undefeated, I'm skeptical on WVU getting enough love to play in the championship game. Pollsters have ways of jobbing deserving teams if they can find even the smallest justification. (in this case supposed "weak schedule"). As an example...if a team like Notre Dame were to run the table and look impressive doing so, and OSU remained undefeated...do you think the pollsters would hesitate to have a one loss notre dame team leapfrog WVU? True, that would be a royal screw job...but it could happen. Big East fans need to hope that our champion is undefeated at the end of the year..and then watch to see how everything unfolds..... Hopefully USC is gone long before that.
