many said this could never happen >:(

um could not be replaced, the BE sans UM would always be a minor conference :P

UL has just made a strong statement to the contrary!!!

now we need to cont to consistantly win and all questions should be answered on the field

props to the birds

BTW, note to UM don't jump on the %@#&*% bird :o

I think L'ville is the top football program in the conference.

WVU is very good these past two seasons.

Rutgers may have finally turned the corner.

Pitt & Syracuse has tradition.

USF needs to make the move this season and beyond to be ALWAYS mentioned in pre-season as a Top 3 Team in the conference.

Congrats to L'ville for smashing UM with their #2 QB  8-)

yeah, louisville is better than UM now.  scary that they did most of their scoring without their #1 RB AND QB.  West Virginia has also stepped up and filled the quality team position that Va Tech used to hold.  Rutgers is probably about as good as BC used to be.  The Big East might be as good as it was just a few years ago.

Go figure.

UL has stepped up to level of UM

WVU has also stepped up and is an equal of VT

Rutgers and USF could potentially be the equal of BC.

Pitt will continue to be Pitt, a solid program.

All is fine in the BE conference.

It will be interesting to see how the BE finishes at the end of year whether BE passes Pac10 in terms of the strongest conference

How can Louisville have replaced Miami in the Big East. I think in order to do that they actually have to first win a Big East Championship let alone a National Championship. Could this be the year they do it? Possibly. You're still comparing a team that has yet to win their conference with team that has 5 NC's. I still think the team to beat is West Virginia. Our Bulls will challenge the Cards for sure. We have the defense to do it, and by that time I think our swagger will be incredible.

So no. Miami has not been replaced yet, and until a National Championship comes out of the Big East, no one will. Tradition is still rich at the U, and when Coker is gone, the swagger shall return.

also, USF is about where West Virginia used to be.

and Ksquire, we are talking about the talent level of the programs, not their past.

when miami was in the big east they were still in the top 10 every year.  louisville is at that point at the moment.  west virginia might be better.  we shall see what happens when those 2 teams play.

What I meant was would the BE move past Pac 10 as the 5th strongest conference.  Would the BE be Better than Pac 10 (or any other conference).  Agree, SEC is the strongest conf. top to bottom right now.  Big 10 is pretty good at the top with OSU and UM.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
