combination of skill and robotic strength(wonder how he got that, asks Joe Buck) will make you a great hitter.

Most dominating player in a team sport ever? Are you knucking futs?  Take a look at Wayne Gretzky, Michael Jordan, Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, Wilt Chamberlin, Bill Russell, Gordie Howe, Bobby Orr, etc.... first.

His numbers are not better then Ted Williams?

Bonds is redefining the art of TV in that it is almost impossible to get his giant roided out freak head in a 27 inch screen.

Despite Barry hitting all these roided up homers lately... he still has less RBI's, lower slugging pct, less hits, lower batting avg than Ted Williams, who has played less games due to the war, and those missed games were during his prime.

I think Bonds is a powerhouse and adds another dimension with his speed, but I think Williams was a better pure hitter.

You have to remember that when Ted got back from the war, the Red Sox had jettisoned all their good players and Ted took the helm of a team that could barely compete in the AL.  He still put up great numbers with nobody around him.

Bonds has had Kent, Aurelia, etc. padding him, getting on base, etc.

Also, Williams might have been a curmudgeon and cranky in his old age, but he was 300% the person Bonds the Roided Up Freak will ever be.

Ted played 19 seasons and you are dividing his stats by that amount of seasons to get his season average, keep in mind that in 5 of those seasons Ted played in 6, 37, 89, 98, 103 games.  In 1952 and 1953 Ted missed most of both seasons to fight and only played in a total of 43 games yet we count these as full seasons?  Ted played in 150 games only 4 times in his career.  Bonds has never played in less then 100 games in a season.

Barry never has scored 130+ runs in a season, Teddy had done it 6 times.  Barry had 120+ rbi twice and Ted did it 7 times.  Barry batted under .300 8 times in his career, ted batted under .300 once in his career and three times Ted batted over .400.  Ted's career high for strikeouts in a season was his rookie year when he fanned 64 times, only twice more in his career did he ever strike out as many as 50 times.  Barry struck out 64 or more times 14 times.
