Guest Green
Collin and Bloomtown,I agree, they shouldn't allow just anybody down to those high donor seats. my problem is that I am a new (2 years) scholar bull with access to the green and gold room but I can't get a seat in the lower bowl on either side. I have only one ticket but they still can't find me a place. I'm ready to give up, drop my donation level to one that is applicable to where I sit and go from there. I have no incentive to give as much as I do. I don't even sit in my assigned seat or use the green and gold room. I end up sitting where many people sit with walkup tickets. The only reason I increased my donation in the first place was to get better seats for BE basketball. If they had a ticket exchange program (through the Green and Gold or Bulls Club) then I could get down to the first level for many games. Heck I wouldn't mind being a floater. I bet if you guys could turn in your tickets to get 1st level side views you would be willing to do it. Then the next level of donor could trade for yours, etc, etc. This would ensure fans and donors sitting as close as they can for the games. No tickets would be traded in for big games. lots of tickets for lousy games. Top level donors could use bottom level donors left over tickets to donate to the Boys and Girls Club and get a tax writeoff giving them an incentive to turn in unused tickets. These alums investing in season BB tix now so you'll have them when the team is good and not showing up needs to be corrected.  I have been paying for FB season for 9 seasons now under the pretense that in the future the tix will be gone but I GO TO ALL OF THE GAMES even the crappy D1AA games. If 100 tix are sold at $12 each game (15).  $12 is half price for half a game. That's $18,000 with minimal effort but if it creates a better atmosphere which generates an extra 1000-1500 showi up to the games then its worth it. If USF was to resell my tix. And by luck I showed up with anytime left in the game. I would fully expect to be compensated beyond the price of the ticket. If the donor wants to have their seats given away for a particular game... great. But I'm with Bloomtown... my seat is my seat. I try to go to all of the games, but sometimes things come up and I can't make it. If someone sits in my seat, they are getting what I paid good money for at a supreme discount. I don't like that.I like the idea of having a full lower level, but that will come when the product improves. The seats are paid for and that is the most important thing right now. Courtside seats require a larger gift than Scholar Bull, but I sit behind the basket and I like my seats. In fact, if you shoot me an email (csherwin@admin.usf.edu), I'll give you my pair for this evening so you can check out sitting down there. I was told they have been sold out and the only way to get seats there would be for someone to drop. But then as someone mentiond there are scholar bulls and higher sitting in level 2 because no seats on the lower leve, care to comment?
