I dunno why nobody is speaking up... I saw everybody there.

It was cool as always, (although they charge too much) and I don't think there were as many people this year. Anyway, at least I had a good time.

I went. It was good. Congrats to all of the seniors.

With that being said. The football awards ceremony can not hold a candle to the basketball banquet.

Most of the football ceremony went like this:

Here is an award:

Guess who it is from the video;

The player gets up gets his award and sits down.

They never let the seniors speak or those getting the award speak.

At the hoops banquet, they have the seniors speak and it seems more like a ceremony. A celebration of their season.

If the BBall team can do that with horrible seasons they have had, Football can do the same.

They should turn over the planning to the Bulls Club aka Soncrat for an improved event.

We had a great time!  We sat with Tim Jones and his family.  What a wonderful group they were!  And guess what!  If he doesn't go pro, he wants to be a middle school math or history teacher!

Does the hoops ceremony have dinner before?  I was jus wondering how long the whole thing would take time wise...

They have a sit down dinner and a cash bar.

as for time it run less than the football one did and with alot more getting to the players time.

I would like to see football to move it to the dome and have outback do a dinner style program like they do for the Silent auction.

The silent auction take twice as long, but no one cares because they are bidding with dinner and drinks.

I am not ******** about the ceremony, I would just like to see it stepped up a notch.

The biggest main difference is:

When I leave the hoops banquet, I know more about the players afterwards than I did going in.

Well also remember there are a total of 12 at most players as opposed to 100 or so... I heard that somethings were different, and were wondering if it seemed better or worse...

Yeah there are less people on the hoops team. But you don't have to address all of the football players. Just the seniors and award winners.

I think thats what they did this year mainly, gave the awards to the winners, the entire team didnt walk across the stage (Which in the past took forever!) and the Seniors had their video again...People said it was much better this year, but I just wanted to see how you guys felt...

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
