Worst idea would be to hire Dan Werner. I am a Um fan when the bulls arent playing them. And just because Um goes and fires an OC doesnt mean he would be great with us. The guy got fired cuz UM's offense with all those weapons and 5 star recruits couldnt do crap anymore. So your tellin me he is gonna come in here with our players and turn things around. We need a new oc but not this guy fellas gotta think about it!

He'd be an upgrade...but worth the money?  Unsure.  Depends what we could get him for.  However, some of those position coaches are NC caliber coaches, and would be steals.  It's hard to believe they'd fire guys that coached on multiple NC squads...and unlike coker were there as those players were developed!

No mistake though...even Werner is much better than Smith.  This isn't grass is greener stuff, the game management is there, and so is the right type of offense.  In the BE we'd be in the top 3 in offense with him.

The one guy that needs to find a new career is WERNER, he is absolutely terrible as an O.C..  The game against Ga. Tech. he insisted on throwing the long ball over and over, even though Tech. was blitzing on every down, which gave the Q.B. no time and he was sacked 6 times and hurried passes all game.  Werner never thought of the short passing game.  His offense since he has become coord. that be miserable.  He is the main reason the CANES are not doing BCS game anymore.

Case in point; Utah used the short passing game against Tech. in their bowl game and killed them.
