Feb. 9, 2024 – South Florida women’s basketball (14-10, 6-5) heads to Philadelphia, Pa. for its lone regular season against Temple (12-10, 6-4) on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff is slated for 3:00 p.m. and the game will stream live on ESPN+. SETTING THE STAGE USF heads to Philly as winners of three of their last four games. The clash with Temple is the Bull’s first and only of the regular season. Temple has emerged victorious in three of its last five contests after losing, 88-81 at Charlotte last Sunday. THE SOUTH FLORIDA-TEMPLE SERIES Saturday’s clash will be the 21st all-time pairing between the two programs, which extends back to the 2013-14 season. South Florida holds a hefty, 17-3 all-time advantage in the series. The last meeting was a 77-55 Bulls victory on Jan. 3, 2023. LAST TIME OUT South Florida was swept by Rice, 69-59 at home on Wednesday night. Freshman guard Vittoria Blasigh led with 17 points, which marked her 17th game in double figures this season and has scored in double digits in seven of the last eight games. Senior guard Evelien Lutje Schipholt gathered her fourth double-double of the season with 16 points and a season-best 14 rebounds. Redshirt junior forward Romi Levy (13 points) collared her 15th game of the season in double-digits. Redshirt senior guard Aerial Wilson matched a season-best 8 assists for the third time this season, and (449 Career Assists) maneuvered past Kia Nurse (UConn, 2014-18) into 10th on the AAC Career Assists ledger. BULL LEADERS South Florida is led by freshman guard Vittoria Blasigh (15.0 ppg). Blasigh (65 3PM) leads all NCAA Freshman in total 3-pointers made. Blasigh earned her 5th AAC FOTW honor and is the first Bull to earn it five times in a single season. Redshirt junior forward Romi Levy (13.0 ppg) is the second Bull averaging double-digit points. Levy has been tabbed as an Honor Roll selection three times this season. Senior forward Evelien Lutje Schipholt leads on the glass with 7.5 rebounds per contest, which ranks 9th in the American.
