WBB vs Baylor

Game kicks off in an hour and this could turn out to be an upset. Keys to USF winning are limiting turnovers and defending the 3. Baylor plays very small; however, they are averaging 38% from deep vs our 30%. In their 25-point win against a 6-5 Providence team yesterday, they forced 27 turnovers and shot 35% from deep. Could have been a bigger win had they shot better than 39% on 18 FT attempts.

Height of their starting 5 against Providence was 6'0", 6'0", 5'6", 5'7", and 5'8". They have a 6'3" and a 6'7" player that they bring off the bench but they don't play significant minutes and don't have significant stats.

Watching Baylor's 18-pt win vs #24 Miami, and they don't look very good at all. I think Miami and Baylor may be overrated.

After starting the game up 7-3, Baylor goes on a 14-2 run to end the ist quarter up 17-9. We shot 3-14 from the field in the quarter. Brito 0-3, Blasigh 1-4. Shot 1-5 (Blasigh) from deep. Wilson 0-1 with a brick (as described by the announcer) from deep.

Clarification: the 1-5 from deep - Blasigh with the only make from deep.

Jose's going to have to find shooters.  And a big under the basket that will hog rebounds.  That is how we've done it before.

Baylor up 37-17 at the half. Story of the game is USF missing open shots and Baylor hitting theirs. USF is 7-27 and 1-12 from deep, while Baylor is 13-25 and 3-12 from deep.

Levy is 3-5 with 6 pts.

Blasigh is 2-8 with 7 pts (1-5 from deep).

Brito is 1-5 with 2 pts.

Evelien 1-4 with 2 pts.

Wilson, Gonzalez, Asensio, and Alvarez are a combined 0-5 (all from deep).

I don't understand why we have taken 12 shots from deep. We have a huge size advantage and are not taking shots in the post.

Need to go on a run.   Immediately.  Can we get the ball into the post?  Or is the Baylor defense really good?
