There is no denying that both coaches are good. However, to compare a 40 year old coach who is at the beginning of his career to a guy who has accomplished a lot and has only about 10 years left in his career is just stupid.

While we're at it lets compare Bobby Knight and Billy Donovan...

I agree smazz.

And Levitra has been at it almost 10 years.  GO is only 58 years old.  Coaches can coach into their 70's.  If they are good.  And we all know that GO is good.

Coaches can coach into their 70's.  If they are good.  And we all know that GO is good.

Any coach that goes through a season against the dregs of 1-A without manufacturing at least ONE win is not a good COACH. He's obviously a good recruiter, though ..... If there was a ROY award he would be more suited for that.

I do believe there were many threads about  GOL's first 2 years that he was not recruiting those sought after "rival star" players.  Looks like to me those stars are over rated.

funny,i didnt think GOL recruited well according to the pundits

it appears his coaching has elevated his team

GOL made his players better.they progressed

the true test will be when usf plays them

we will see how the teams have evolved in one year.

I'm not the one needing to hang on to anything. You clowns don't seem to grasp the fact that the only reason GOL is being looked at for COY is because he did a crappy job of coaching last year. Jeebus, how hard is this for you to grasp?? ........... He couldn't coach well enough last year to get one win with that pathetic schedule. He's more suited for the Comeback Coach of the Year which I've seen his name associated with in various places....

And I understand that YOU all need this to make YOU feel better, which is all good. You deserve a little joy in your lives.
