I'm with Beastie.  3 hours from the ATL works out nicely, and I've been to this bowl game before.  They do a nice job with it, and the stadium is downtown real close to hotels and bars.  It has to be Charlotte for me to go.  Detroit isn't exactly nice this time of year.

Hey..... I hope we go to Charlotte.... if so... Athletics 'says' they will ship the entire 230 piece marching band... prolly all sundolls and cheerleaders too. (god to I love free trips)

Hopefully someone kicks the students in the butt and sends them up to Charlotte... with a 230 band--- all we need are students to be a powerful impact on the game!

(BTW: If we go to Detroit - we send a 100 piece 'pep band.')

The Motor City starts Bowl Week on ESPN before Monday Night Countdown's.  Leavitt's parents graduated from Michigan State.

Charlotte is held on New Year's Eve against perhaps UCF/Fresno and TCU/Iowa State.  It's also on ESPN2 @ 11am (low ratings, but fans will be back in time for countdown).
