coaches fault.  Smith & Leavitt are the ones who must shoulder this loss.  The players played hard.  The wacko play in the fourth qtr inside the 10 yd. line on 4th down was just plain stupid.  KICK THE **** FIELD GOAL!  I won't mention the center quick snap for a 5 yd loss 'cuz that was a high schoolish f'up.  Oops to late.  I mention it.

The deep pass for an interception to hand the game back to UCONN at the end was assnine.  I was calling for play action pass plus saying we have time for Hall to run the ball being this close.  There is 2:30+ left on the clock w/two TOs.  USF was inside UCONN's 45.  There is plenty of time.  Then PJ flings the ball 45 yards to the UCONN DB.  :  If we kicked the FG earlier then there is no reason to throw 40 plus yards to the EZ.  The .1% is PJ's fault (He makes bad decisions & rushes passes.) and the other .1% are the dropped passes (Johnny Peyton is a borderline bust.).

i guess blame has to go somewhere.....

i think that Dejuan Brown deserves a little bit of the blame.  he had a chance to make 2 huge open field tackles on both plays that UConn scored their TDs on.

either way, UConn shut down Andre and we had 5 turnovers.  that is why we lost.  simple as t hat.

I say it's turnovers. USF 5 UConn 2. Blame whomever you like but more often than not in football turnovers decide the game. They have been the main theme in everyone of our freakin losses. We were within FG range like 3 or 4 times and got no points. Once due to the craziness at the 1 in the 4th Qtr and every other time we turned the ball over.
