100% agree... they aren't going to put a 5-3 team above a 7-3 team in the rankings very easily.  If we were both 7-3, we'd be ahead of them...but 5-3 looks on paper very close to .500 and unless you are OU/USC/FSU or Miami, being in the rankings with a close to 500 record this late in the year is not likely.

I would agree with you smazza.

It is simply due to USf's missed/rescheduled games.  USF wins 2 of the next 3 and they should be getting some serious top 25 votes.

Now is UCF beats Rice and then UTEP in the CUSA Championship, UCF will also be recieving serious votes.

Both teams could end up ranked in top 25 at the end of the season if all plays out right.
