Nevermind, it didn't last that long.  Rome just said that USF hammered UL.  Clones proceeded to make fun of UL.

Although our victory was awesome for our program, we all know this isn't a good thing for the overall impression of the Big East. We just humiliated the only legitimate team in the eyes of the press.

Maybe we will be come the "legitimate team" by the end of the season

In the short run this will hurt the perception of the BIG EAST however it is now our responisbility to give the BIG EAST a good name.  If we take care of business there wont be a problem

Very true fellas. Our performance this weekend will have a huge bearing on that. If we win or at leats make it a competitive game, we will get some huge respect for our conference.

WV also play Va Tech this weekend. We need to pull for our Big East brothers to bring some respect back to the BE.

USF received some love from ESPN, CNNSI.com, Collegefootballnews.com  but ROME gave us no love, ripped UL and wants our BCS status pulled immediately.

Well, Gruden mentioning the Bulls at the top of his radio show may help that a little here in Tampa. Maybe it will help us to finally capture the elusive "casual football fan" in Tampa that is so often lamented on this board??  What do you think?

BTW, I care a lot more about what John Gruden says about the BULLS during his press conference when the Bucs are 3-0 than I care about what Jim Rome says any day of the week
