Record crowd sees Hall, USF roll FAMU

Andre Hall ran for 156 yards and three touchdowns Saturday night, mostly in the first half as USF defeated Florida A&M 37-3.

A record crowd for the Bulls at Raymond James Stadium of 43,122 was on hand.

Hall punched in two 2-yard runs as well as a 31-yarder in the first half to put the game away early. Hall passed the 100-yard mark early in the second quarter, giving him a record-tying seventh career 100-yard performance.

USF's defense held FAMU to 85 yards of total offense, including zero first downs in the first half.

Pat Julmiste started at QB and completed 6 of 10 passes for 71 yards before being replaced by Courtney Denson in the second quarter. Denson threw a 36-yard TD to Cedric Hill in the third quarter and split playing time the rest of the way with third-string freshman Carlton Hill.

Kicker Mike Benzer might have lost his job to walk-on Kyle Bronson. Benzer missed an extra point and two field goals while Bronson hit a 30-yarder and was 3-for-3 on PATs.

Next Saturday is another first-ever meeting with a state foe when UCF visits Raymond James Stadium to play the Bulls (1-1).

Better call soon if you're going to call. John Gruden show from 5-6 (no calls) and then the Mike Alstott show from 6-7pm (talking football, but not USF). I can't sit on hold in the 3 or 4 oclock hours, good luck to those who try. Lets represent on the air waves.

Okay ... remember 3 PM  ;D

Today's subject ... was watching Sun Sports and they were talking about Weatherford's (sp?) 300 year game - first since Notre Dame in 2003 and they had 3 WR over 100 yards ...

IT WAS AGAINST The Citadel !?!

And they were down 10-3 ... won 62-10, but 49 points were in the second half. And Drew was honored by the ACC ... what?!?  ::)

We dominated the 1st half ... and was substituting heavy before the half. Best ever defensive performance against famu in their history ... HISTORY of playing state powers.

Let "Dead Air" Doofus hear the positive of USF Football.
