I know there is an adage that one shouldn't pick a fight with someone who buys ink by the gallon... but man the Oracle sports people need to get out into the real world a bit more -- and check their facts:

Men’s basketball ready: The USF men’s basketball team announced its Big East schedule for the 2005-06 season Thursday, starting with a home opener against West Virginia on Jan. 5. The 16-game Big East schedule features home contests with St. John’s (Jan. 14), Villanova (Jan. 24), DePaul (Feb. 4), Seton Hall (Feb. 8), Rutgers (Feb. 18), Connecticut (March 1) and Georgetown (March 4). The Bulls will hit the road against Syracuse (Jan. 8), Georgetown (Jan. 17), Seton Hall (Jan. 20), Cincinnati (Jan. 31), Louisville (Feb. 11), Notre Dame (Feb. 15), Providence (Feb. 21) and Rutgers (Feb. 26).

The Big East Tournament host has yet to be announced.

First, the Big East Conference is the host.

Second, he could have at least put that it will be held March 8 -11 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

GRRRR....I'm still mad about the fact that the oracle wouldn't let me write about football...I guarantee if I did, it would be done the RIGHT WAY.  But it's okay...I love writing for Scout.com's USF Nation much much more  ;D

You know, when I was in college, I once got a 0 grade on a journalism class assignment because I referred to a local theatrical group as "Soandso Theater" when their official name was "Soandso Theatre." This was considered a fact error. Then I'd open the Oracle, and see stuff like this. It's mystifying.

You should have known better than to think the Oracle would let ANYONE capable of writing in, regardless of gender.  As long as you're going to do a good job, you can't write for that paper ;).

i feel like going down to the Oracle and letting them have a piece of my mind, and giving a huge chunk to that one reporter who said "i can't transfer, i'm stuck here."  makes me so mad to see so called "journalists" doing nothing right and putting down their school

since you're apparently a cheerleader for USF, you can't write for football. you can't cover the game if you're cheering for it.

Act like you’ve been there before. Turns out, for many of us, we haven’t been there before.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
