Strong/Gilbert/Burke were handed the keys to a porsche and in an ultimate act of hubris tried to turn it into a bulldozer, blew the engine out and left it smoking in a ditch at the side of the road. Proudly proclaiming they hadn't and wouldn't watch film on the offense they were handed the mulishly forced the offense into their image and it worked against vastly inferior opposition but failed when it most counted. Strong himself said this was the fastest team he'd ever seen so he had or allowed Gilbert to run a one dimensional up the middle run offense. Playing uninspired ball against early poor competition either because that's all we have or because they think they can vanilla their way through the dogs of the conference and turn it on later.

King Lear and his 3 daughters must go. They have started to ruin the kingdom.
