when seth wins his supporters come out so when he loses his detractors have their say

it is tongue and cheek as sbien says

no harm is intended

I think the main point is that Seth did nothing to prove me wrong about his coaching. He can get some big wins during the regular season like he did at USF. He can even build a program to be average like he did at USF. The bottom line is that there were no NCAA trips or NIT wins while he was at USF. I will be really surprised if he gets Va Tech to the NCAAs. I will be the first one to appologize to Seth and blame USF for his failures. However, right now I am bitter because Seth never put any blame on himself. He just blamed USF for his failures. He blamed his players when we did not win. Listening to Coach McCullum talk is like night and day compared to Seth. I am telling the Sheriff and DMince that USF will be better off with Coach McCullum in the long run. I just wish we all could see that right now, but going through a 7 win season weakens my stance. It may take a few years, but I just have a great feeling about the future of USF basketball. The day Seth left, I celebrated because I knew that was the first step of getting over the hump.

Just to clarify:

Seth is a personal role model and I wish him the best. Attacks on him are ridiculous and misinformed. There is not much I would not do for that guy.

But, Virginia Tech is my second favorite basketball team.

USF is where my heart is. I support McCullum and want him to do well very badly. I went to 90% of the games this year. I am 23 and donate my own money to the program and AD, including purchasing a coach on the bench seat this year.

Bottom line: it is possible to support Seth but still remain loyal to USF. Sherrif, VG, USFGRIFF, and I all show this.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
