New USF Uniforms

black logo is out in left field.  Don't understand it whatsoever.  i know the uniforms are a very dark green.  So why not make the logos....well, a very dark green???

White has always been in our color scheme for football.  They've always worn white jerseys on the road, and if I recall the very first football game in USF history, they wore white pants.

Doesn't the athletic department realize that our colors are Green and Gold, not Black and Gold?  That is pathetic....

USF needs to stand alone in their colors, or people will mikstake them for UCF.  How many of us grads have had to correct people when we say USF, and they ask, "oh, the school in Orlando?"

Black only clouds it up even more in my opinion.

black only uniform may cloud it, but you can't tell me that having a black face mask is going to make anyone think we are UCF...  no one can tell the color of the facemask or logo on the helmet (between dark green and black) from TV, or the stands.

Dude it's the frickin face mask.  Actually if you see it close up it's rather cool and from the stands it looks real good.

Here's a little secret, the problem was the green was considered but it didn't stand out enough from the gold- you don't see it real well.  The plan was they want the logo to jump off the helmet not blend in.  Woolard had like 6 helmets in his office to decide from in the spring.  Unfortunately for the green to work they would have had to change the base helmet color- which was not an option!  From the stands, and most cameras you can't discern if the logo and face masks are black or forest green.

Velcro, you're probably right about not being able to tell the color from the stands.  So why not keep the dark green, which is their true color?  Wouldn't that make more sense than to change it?

I like the green better.  The black might confuse some not so smart fans with us.

The black kinda defeats the fact that your colors are green and gold.

All I'm saying is to try to keep the tradition as much as possible.  Since we're only 10 years old, we don't have much tradition to build on, so its nice to keep what little we have.

But, if it helps us win ballgames, I'm OK with the change.
