USF-Penn State To Be Televised On ESPNU

TAMPA - South Florida's football season opener at Penn State will be televised by ESPNU on Sept. 3 at 3:30 p.m.  

While the Penn State contest is USF's only scheduled national TV appearance this fall, USF's Oct. 1 visit to Miami also is under consideration to be televised on ESPNU, an ESPN official said Thursday.  

ESPNU, ESPN's new 24- hour college sports network, is not currently available in the Tampa Bay area on cable, but the game will be televised locally on a station to be determined, USF officials said. USF- Penn State will be among the first college football games televised by ESPNU, which launched in March.

The PSU game will also be shown on ESPN Plus which is available. If USF gets the Louisville and West Virginia game on ESPNU then I suspect we will get some other station to carry them locally.

USF Game at Penn State Picked up by ESPNU

 

USF’s season opening football game at Penn State will air on ESPNU and ESPN-Plus, the network announced today. The game will be played September 3, at 3:30 p.m. Television plans and game times for USF’s remaining games are still to be determined.

 

ESPN Regional TV, USF’s media rights holder is working with Tampa Bay area affiliates to air the game via ESPN-Plus.

IF you are a subscriber to Direct TV or Dish network, you can get ESPNU...AND...CSTV , along with ~30 other regional sports network nationwide  by adding their add on sports package.

I plan on adding it this Fall for football and basketball.

i called Brighthouse when the channel first launched and they didnt even know what I was talking about.  I had to be transferred twice before anyone actually knew ESNU existed.  All they said was they would add my name to the list or something like that
