Puhols should be in contention, and Smoltz.  I don't care if he is a pitcher.  He is extremely valuable to the braves.

Numbers alone it has to be Pujols.  MVP for his team has to be Bonds. That team does nothing if he were not in the lineup. He takes pressure of everyone in lineup and he is on base 50% of time.  Pujols on other hand has an awesome lineup around him but he is a manster.

A month ago, Id say Pujols had it wrapped up, but Bonds has past him in HR's and closed the gap on BA. Bonds is obviously more valuable to his team, but if Pujols finishes with much better numbers, he'd probably win. If Bonds keeps the stats close, he should take home his sixth.
