What is their all time record against USF?  

You can look it up probably in the baseball media guide.

I know in the last few years they escaped a number of times when we had big leads, but the games were always played on their turf. I presume they owed us a home game finally this year.

Last I looked there was no USF baseball media guide online - do you have a paper copy?  Or maybe go to the Gators site and see if they have it online.  I am at work, and I limit my "unauthorized browsing worthy of termination" to this site only.  :)

Over that time he had 700+ wins so he's batting about .583 which is not too shabby considering who we have been up against.

Well put.

But the reason I ask for it is I doubt very seriously Florida is/was/will be worried about USF.  Same goes for basketball, they have very little reason to fear us.  However, a loss to us, because of our low-standing and in-state status provides tremendous downside for them.  They are our "game of the year", we are their bump in the road that occasionally causes them pain.  They don't fear competitive games with us, they fear the occasional upset and the damage that does.

You do realize that our sports teams have beaten them the last four occassions we played: Basketball, Softball and twice in Baseball.

Those occassional upsets are becoming more the norm. :)

In fairness to EC as a USF HC he is 672-479 (.583) and as a USF assistant he is 98-85...overall he's been part of a 770-564 (.577) run (jog).

Looks like, prior to this season, we were:

22-43 vs. Florida  (EC 12-16)

15-62 vs. Florida State  (EC 7-17)

29-76 vs. Miami  (EC 12-34)

13-20 vs. Florida Southern  (EC 1-3)

65-68 vs. Stetson  (EC 40-34)

45-43 vs. UCF  (EC 27-36)

5-2 vs. FAU  (EC 8-1) *

14-11 vs. FIU    (EC 6-8)

and we really hand it to FAMU,

31-3 vs. FAMU  (EC 15-2)
