Of anyone that would leave USF, Phyllis is the last one I thought would leave.

She's a grad of USF and has worked here for more than 15 years and has done a stellar job.  Please she lives in Temple Terrance and has a daught that attends USF.

I'm certain her services will be missed.

Leaving Tampa to come to Atlanta.  Sounds like many other Floridians who are tired of the heat, old people, rednecks, oh and who want to earn a decent living.  Can't say I blame her.  The pipeline between these two cities is very apparent.  I know tons of people who have moved from Tampa to Atlanta.

rednecks

Umm, I thought GA had the monopoly on rednecks or was that just a patent.  You can keep your freezing January & Februarys, frozen rains every 3-4 yrs, and two hr. commutes to work not to mention the dreadful sports.  Come to think of it, the sports is probably about equal if not slightly better.  BTW, ATL summers are hotter than Tampa.

I am a fan of neither team, but that statement does not apply to today's Clippers.  They are ahead of the LA Lakers  in the standings.   :o  :o  :o

How the mighty have (deservingly) fallen.

ATL is an awful city IMO

When you compare it to Chicago, of course.

Now most cities in FL, except maybe Miami, Atlanta has them beat hands down.

I am not talking weather or sports; I am talking professional jobs for colleged educated people.  Just look at any recruiting web site like hotjobs.com or monster.com.  Very few jobs in Florida cities; many to thousands of jobs in Atlanta.

ATL is the supersized version of the Tampa Area.  Think extreme commutes, poor mass transit, urban sprawl,  etc.
