Why is the spring game called....

the Green and White game?  Shouldn't our spring game be called Green and Gold?  

Almost every university has white as part of their uniform but green and gold are the primary colors of our university and sports programs.   For example the WVU game is Blue and Gold not Blue and White.  The name should represent our program better.

I've always called it the Green & Gold game... I didn't think it was called anything else. (other than the spring game)

We don't have gold uniforms so they wear the white.  I'd love to see some gold uniforms in the future.

I think the reason they don't go with gold is that we traditionally (or use to) use a yellow jersey for non-contact personnel.

That would give a decided advantage to the Gold team.
