Really good points. We are going to need another pure shooter next year besides Holston. And McMurray likely needs to be the first guard off the bench next year - not a starter. He is too small to play the 2 and has too low of an assist-to-turnover ratio to play the 1.

That's what we are hoping Malik Fitts can add, although I heard of a commit but haven't seen anything about signing an LOI or anything.

But I agree 100%, we need jump shooters that can put it in the net. I think that he may still start because Holston will start slow and Peters is killing us. OR play fast run and gun with Baxter and hope Tulio is athletic enough to keep up and slash...a lot.

I'm not expecting much from Roddy Peters next season. He may have played injured this season, but I wasn't impressed. I hope I have to eat crow with regard to Peters' game.

I wish we had Jaleel Cousins for another season. I hope he gets to play pro somewhere.

We are not going to get calls in the paint huh?

We are going to lose any game Perry takes 10 foot jumpers I think. By the post or in the paint he has been gold.

Who on this team has gotten markedly better since the beginning of conference play?

Cousins and McBuckets, no doubt.

20 pushes later Cousins picks up the foul.

This year? Unfortunately no one. Nuñez has had good contributions but no late resurgence. Guerrero is going to have to play more like his rookie season next year.

Santos never really broke the lineup and between him, Tulio, and Manderson, one of those three is going to have to step into the rotation with gusto next year.

I would agree with Cousins but is McMurray partially a product of the 35+ minutes he plays each game? He only averages 2.5 APG and has 1:1 turnover margin as our point guard, and shoots less than 40% from the field and 33% behind the arc. Is he REALLY that much better or is his "improvement" a function of the short bench we have?

Valid question, unfortunately we have seen a drop off the past two weeks or so from McBuckets. But he is catching a match now

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
