Endowments are permanent funds established by a Donor whereby only the interest each year is used for the specified purpose of the fund. The principal amount of the gift remains intact and is invested for long-term growth.

UH has raised tens of millions of $$$ from their boosters in recent years...as the past 2 main facility projects were that recently opened:

$120 Million On-Campus Stadium (included demolition of their old public HS/converted college football stadium)

$25 Million Basketball Practice Facility

UH recently got their Board approval for:

$60 Million Basketball Arena Renovation of Hoffeinz Pavilion

And obviously their $20 Million Indoor Football Practice Facility
