Perry Earns Weekly Conference Honors

Junior forward earns recognition in first edition of weekly American Athletic Conference awards

 

TAMPA, NOV. 16, 2015 – Junior forward Chris Perry earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Honor Roll Monday.

 

The Bartow, Fla., native collected his sixth-career double-double in Friday’s 82-77 to Troy. Perry scored 13 points and grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds. The 17 rebounds were the most in a game for USF since Nov. 23, 2010 when Ron Anderson Jr. had 17 vs. Liberty.

 

It was the second time in his career that Perry was named to the honor roll. The last time was nearly a year ago to the day, on Nov. 17, 2014. Perry was named the conference’s rookie of the week five times as a freshman during the 2013-14 season.

 

Perry and the Bulls host NJIT at 7 p.m. on Monday.
