Strong is not going to agree to coach at Temple. Sources over at 247 say he is leaning towards taking at least 1 year off but that could change depending on what USF or Cincy offer

How good of a Recruiter is Strong without Clint Hurtt? I know he's a 'Florida guy' but I still can't get over how average his recruiting was at Texas. That should be the easiest place to recruit to in the Nation

We're Rivals but what has happened to the AAC this offseason with its coaches has made me really down on College Football as a Sport. Even if Frost continues to do well and improves to say 8 wins next year I can't even enjoy it as a fan bc he probably gets picked off and UCF has to start over again. I really wish there was a political support to get both schools in the Power 5

Everyone(media) seem to love Strong bc they just think he's a good human but I'll never forget how lost he looked when he was getting outcoached by George freaking O'leary when he had Teddy Bridgewater as QB. Then he goes to the Program with more resources, perfect city in Austin and completely bombs as a Head Coach

He's still a risk but I think he has a better chance of winning big at Texas than Strong. Strong never got comfortable with HS Coaches in Texas and Herman has long Texas ties plus his strength is his work with QBs from Ohio State down to Houston. Head Coaches that are QB whisperers usually work out(Jimbo Fisher)

Houston is the best job in the AAC right now. They have the location, very high money boosters for a G5, and consistent success across 3-4 different coaches.

Frost just had a presser saying he is not a candidate and made a good point about Recruiting. He more or less said that in some ways it is easier to recruit at UCF than at Oregon. He said he can get in his car, recruit, and be home by the evening and that at Oregon all the recruiting involves jumping on a plane and spending much more time in Hotel rooms till signing day. Something Taggart should think about if they offer him. I don't think he would fit there vs a job like Auburn for example if it ever opened up.

they physically take more of a beating and their careers are usually shorter than WRs and QBs. You rarely see NFL talent RBs play 4 seasons in College anymore.

RBs should always go early. His stock most likely wouldn't improve much anyway and he gets a year head start for that next contract if he turns out to be a success

Helfrich would override Frost on QB offers Oregon fans blame Frost and thought Helfrich was this genius and that Frost no longer being OC would be an upgrade before the season. Frost goes to UCF and brings Chinander(Oregon LB coach) and turned the UCF Defense around immediately while Oregon has Brady Hoke turn them into one of the worst defenses in America.

I'll admit that Attendance was disappointing this season and that 0-12 had more of an effect than I expected. The season ticket base went down bc I guess many went with a 'wait and see' approach on the turnaround and relying on walk up sales is more difficult with AAC opponents(even a bad BIG team Maryland was a packed house). The Tailgating Atmosphere remains great and rivals any Big Time Program. The last home game vs Tulsa was a huge tailgating crowd(definitely enough to sell out the stadium) but then at kickoff only 30kish actually enter the gates. I think many fans are coming around to the idea to allow Alcohol sales to the entire stadium to help attendance and bring in more revenue. I hope new AD will consider it for next season with no B12/P5 Invite coming anytime soon.

and UCF is on the complete other side of Orlando. Living in that radius from Winter Park to East Orlando by UCF is a pretty nice quality of life for a Coach.

Sure. Living on some of the top golf course communities in the entire South East is so terrible along with a surrounding metro area with plenty to do for families and the Mrs. Frost turned down the Syracuse and Maryland jobs so if he does well enough to leave in a few years it would have to be a big time place in a good recruiting area, he's not leaving for any P5 Job.

especially with young Programs. Teams like Texas, UF, etc don't rely on student attendance to fill the stands on holiday weekends Aresco should move this game to the weekend before Thanksgiving or late October

definitely Milton's worst game but it's against a good Dline and the best secondary he's seen until UCF gets more out of the Oline we don't have enough horses to finish games vs good/talented teams
