Not that it would ever happen... well until a scandal gets big enough but salary cap the coaches and staff, make the money go back to the school and drive down costs for the rest of the students, open up time frames for commitments etc but yeah you are right it would cost the tv's their $$$ so why help the kids..

It's because people feel the same about UCF, though UCF will become a rivalry so long as we both stay in the same conference As I have said before, whatever sells tickets man ( read that as if the Dude was saying it). If people are buying SELL IT! That will only make us look better for another conference.

I think people are confusing the general disdain of the entire population for anything Jersey with a "rivalry".

If telling UCF they have a rivalry with us gets their fans to buy our tickets... that is what matters. Right now that is all that matters is getting fans, from ANYWHERE into our seats. Period. Followed in importance only by fans in front of their television sets, but we can't get in front of their living room with empty stadiums.

Ok.. I'll bite. Anyone notice how http://www.gousfbulls.com/ has no mention of the conference change? No AAC? No New Era? Just one little logo waaaaaaay at the bottom of the page. I believe we are also stepping out of major roles in directing the conference ( could be coincidence ), but there are quite a few things pointing to that we are trying to ensure we are not hung up on this conference in any way.

I fall for this every time... Gah this is a desperate situation we are in. Hopefully we find a lifeline in the next few years.

You are 100% wrong. You must be thinking about the muvico plaza. The Ale and the Witch has always been at the 1st Bank Plaza and they just opened a new restaurant. It is there with Saab Cafe, Rolloboto and a wine bar I can not remember the name of. Bingo. Love the Ale & Witch. People at the WOB are unpleasant and the former Independent with a new name has a bunch of smokers. When i first moved down last year I tried to go WOB to watch some of the early games (before the season started to self destruct) and was disappointed that one of the closest bars to USF SP only had it on 1 station, in the one area that had glare... Haven't been back since. Macdintons turned out to be a good place to watch from, and that new place Mikes may be good this year.

NBC lowballed us, and ESPN had the right to match the offer. NBC screwed itself out of having the beauty of AAC football gracing its channels. Not that it really means anything at this point, but if we had two equal offers, were we forced to sign with ESPN? Yes ESPN had the ability to match any offer That's not what I asked. Did we HAVE to agree to ESPN's offer even though it was apparently equal to NBC's? yes, contract stipulated that as long as they matched, we had to sign with them. Do we still have that same clause? Also I am sure there is a way to break contract, especially if we have a good year and seem more marketable it may be worth it.

Oh you beat me to it! My favorite place in DTSP. Great beers, good live music, great Thai place next door, they just opened up a BBQ place upstairs and there is even a Wine bar for the ladies that don't drink beer. Great courtyard to hang out. OP too bad you missed the fall/winter when the Saturday morning market is in full swing (and no rain to rain out your golf). I live about a block away from the Vinoy, Great area. Hidden gem is the Old Northeast Tavern. Check it out.
