We are definitely getting better each year. We are still a very young team. If Taggart stays, I would give this team 2 more years to reach the apex of their stability with Taggart at the helm. That gives Taggart the opportunity to have his redshirt freshman as seniors and two more recruiting classes to add to the depth. Taggart is still working on filling this team with his recruits. Of the 29 players listed as starters on the preseason depth chart 10 are seniors, 5 juniors, 13 sophomores, and 1 freshman. That means almost half of the starters are sophomores! Can we catch FSU in the next 10 years? We were 183 in the 2011 rankings. We are definitely on pace to do that. We already have a lower acceptance rate, higher average gpa, and our SAT/ACT scores are almost identical. We seem to be ascending while they are treading water. We need to elect more USF legislators into positions in Tallahassee. No question about that. We need more state funding, especially to lower our terrible student to teacher ratio of 24-1. I just commented on that in the US News ranking thread, before seeing your post. FSU's is 26:1 and UCF's is 31:1 so we are not terrible compared to others.

I can definitely see it and it has me excited too! The excitement is contagious! The media, Taggart. Harlan, etc have really hyped up this team in the offseason. But, all it takes is a loss/close game to FAMU for that to quickly deflate.
