  1. Sadly, cue the Negative Nellies in 3...2...1... I agree, BA, that one game does not make the season and the goal has always been to win a championship. I think this early slate of tough matchups hopefully prepare us for the AAC season. Love your perspective!
  2. Holy Time Machine, Batman! The internet can be a magical thing...
  3. for some for some reason, the reaction over a loss is the same as a demolishing of an FCS opponent. Thank you for the reality check! Go Bulls!
  4. No — their coach didn’t come with “plays that work” — who can predict that? They came with the mindset of stretching the field and found success. We came with the mindset of running off-tackle and struggled against their 330 lb DL. Was it the right call? Hindsight is 20/20 but it’s not what I would have done. You want to fire him and keep auditioning coaches every three years? You don’t think he feels the pressure? He’s not the one dropping passes and missing blocks. However, he’s also not avoiding the media and passing blame. We, the fans, are doing that. Is he the correct head coach long term? Not sure — but let’s see where we are at the end of the season. Just like everyone else on this forum, you are entitled to your opinion. We all see things differently, but we all want the best for the coaches, the team, the players and the university and to that I’m unapologetic.
  5. Thank you for the “Bless your heart” — I’ll take it as a complement and not a snide remark. I agree that the offense could have opened up more (they did toward the end) but I also see the hesitancy when the WR drops passes. Bohanon’s fault? Maybe. WR’s fault? Maybe. However, that has nothing to do with the fight in the team. Again, I saw no giving up in them. They seemed to become more in sync as the game wore on. I feel sorry for all the Negative Nellies. They care about the team as much as I do and want the best for the group. I see no reason to give up the season because of this game — doesn’t count toward our Championship goal and we weren’t going to the Playoffs anyway. I still see a possibility of a bowl game and that would be something we all would love to see.
  6. When you are in a new environment (Tampa) with high expectations (fans and media) with new receiving targets, yes there will be jitters. Everyone gets nervous for the first event — leading a meeting, acting a part, teeing off in front of strangers, wanting to make a good impression on the coach — so yes, even a 5th year junior.
  7. The end around for a TD would have probably been the same regardless. We’ll never know, but common history dictates that the first 10 plays or so are usually scripted anyway. Statistics say that getting the ball to start the second half equals roughly an extra .5 points and an extra possession . Receive Or Defer: Does Either Provide An Advantage? – Sharp Football Analysis Would taking the opening kickoff equal a 29 point difference? No. That’s not the reason we lost. If you are “the biggest supporter of CJS”, you sure don’t show it. He didn’t do it because he had no confidence in his offense — that’s just ignorant.
  8. I believe in this team — I’ll watch it to the end. Since I’m a Positive kind of guy, think about this: VERY FEW PENALTIES. Teams in the past have been riddled with penalties. BOHANON THROWS A NICE BALL. Sure, at times it’s too fast, but he’ll settle down. We just need WR to hold onto them. THE TEAM DIDN’T GIVE UP. These players (some not even 21) kept working and trying. It would have been easy to give up, but they didn’t walk out in the middle of the game (like some players did in the past).
  9. While today is not what we hoped, the fact is we have a good amount of transfers, new coaches, BYU has a monster (and VERY experienced lines, and jitters by Bohanon. I see life in this team and a willingness to improve. I still believe in CJS — when most of the team wants to play for you, it says something.
  10. Where do I find the radio broadcast?
  11. I agree -- it's apples to oranges. Now we'll never know if Traylor could have turned this program around, but I'm glad he was able to turn a program around. If anything, at least many of these players WANT to play for Jeff Scott.
  12. Can't wait for this Saturday -- Big Bulls Attack!
  13. I just completed this quiz. My Score 26/100 My Time 109 seconds
