  1. Ucf is most likely a loss...I really think some of the expectations on here are to high for taggerts first year... I propose we implement a one day ban on anybody who doesn't know our new coach's name .... Two for suggesting we "most likely" will lose to UCiF. There shouldn't be anyone that suggests we win less than two. McNeese & UCiF. Sure, if you want to speculate that we could lay an egg against FAU (hey, maybe they have more gems there like Alfred Morris), and maybe Temple or Navy, hell, maybe Memphis, but as any sort of USF fan, you surely cannot believe we have a chance at losing to UCiF. Hell, I bet we put up so many points, they change their mascot to the Serfs. My apologies...taggart...I'll impose one day ban on myself for that one...but before I go just want to note again that UCF will prob beat us....they are a good team....not backing down on that...on the ban I go UCF is NOT a good team. You may argue they are better than us based on last season, but they are far far far from a good team.
  2. This team talent wise isnt as bad as the general perception. This team gave up on Holtz a long time ago. We have shown the ability to play with any team in the country, unfortunantely Holtz kept it close with the Ball states too. If we can get the QB and RB positions filled, I think we have a shot at making a run for the BE. Hell, we shouldve beaten Louisville this year. Taggart will actually plan around his weapons (price, D'Vo, dunkley, davis) instead of just adding them to the system. With taggart being a guy that loves the TE, if QB "X" can get the ball to our guys to make plays, Price should open up the offense down the middle, helping our outside WR get better matchups. I cant name the last time we threw the ball down the middle
  3. What are the chances of this? Before becoming a USF student recently I was a huge Miami fan. My last game as a miami fan was the home loss to USF which I was at so this would be awesome/awkward haha
  4. didn't he say the same thing for Tenn? Move on we can do better anyway. He gained two stars after that E11 camp, then sucked up something nasty his senior year. I am sure their is some pissed off underrated guy who can get the job done and with 100x less pre-madonna drama. Its crazy people actually see it like this. The kid was killed by awful high school coaches that had an obvious bias against him. He was a 3 star when he was committed to us, went UP to a 4 star when he de commintted then came back down when he re committed. Funny how that just happens. He was rated one of the lowest at the camp, a long shot to crack the top 11. Lets not act like he won some lousy camp and go shot up the rivals rankings. He outpreformed the guys rated above him on these rivals rankings in the eyes of real coaches. Ill take their opinion over a pay sites. Some people on here wouldnt know talent if it slapped them in the face.
  5. I am from the Daytona area, and New symrna HS has some serious talent coming through. Also, 2 of the top athletes in the country IMO Charles Nelson, and Trevaughn Rodriguez at Seabreeze are friends with a lot of kids at NSB. Could be a solid grab
  6. How many of these guys have you met with? Talked to? Discussed schemes/future plans with? This is USF. We need to hit on a young guy that can be our future. There aren't any homeruns out there that don't come with negatives to outweigh their previous experience outside of maybe Butch David.
  7. Gve me a break. Record is only 1 statistic in this search. Granted, it is an important one, it is also important to keep in mind he didn't neccessarily inherit a great program in a great situation. Jim Harbough, regarded as a pretty great football mind by many also started off slow in his first 2 years before improving his third. The same Harbough also put Taggart in charge of recruiting the stte of Florida. To me, that says he was regarded as a top recruiter in the program. Every school across the country regards Florida as a top priority for recruiting. Is his resume full of stars and awards yet? No, hes only 36. He hasn't had the time. Multiple people have gone out of there way to publically say how much of a winner this guy is and how impressed they are with his knowledge of the game. IMO he should be 2nd on our wish list behind Butch Davis.
  8. Tell that to Oregon, Baylor, Texas A&M, K- State, Oklahoma and Auburn fans. See how far that argument gets you
  9. If we have any chance at Gus Malzahn whatsoever, we would be foolish not to accept him with open arms
  10. Josh Grady didn't commit to us Pretty sure that was his point ... sounds like he thinks AW is stringing us along and in the end won't commit...at least that's what I got from it. Lol this is nothing like Grady. The dude committed once, decommitted and took his visits, and then committed back live on a radio show. I think some people here are a little late to the Woulard situation and just happen to be comvinced USF can't get a player of his caliber instead of actually looking at facts and evaluating the situation. Btw, this is nothing like Tyler Cameron either. He committed, re-evaluated and re commited. Hes a bull.
  11. Chill out the guys having fun. He enjoys the sport and getting excited about teams and big games. Hes committed here, and he's a bull until he says otherwise.
  12. Yeah I agree with that. Losing Austin really hurt, but we have the athletes to score and play uptempo with some really good teams. Polland, and Rudd can really fill it up when they get going and AC does nothing but surprise me how well he can dribble
  13. That's harsh. Agree with SRQ. Softball did well last year as well. I remember earlier this year how so many people were talking about how many good things were happening with USF athletics outside of football. Harsh but true.......We are underachieving in most sports badly. Soccer men/woman and softball are the exception. Basketball has a chance in the long run but I think this is going to be along year from what I saw the first game. Any other teams I am missing ? Do you remember how we looked against Vermont last year? Dont expect us to hit full stride for a little bit
  14. Judy said our school colors were green and yellow at a pep rally this year. I have no idea the love for her
  15. This kid isnt really that special. Hes ok, but there are much better backs out there
  16. Makes you wonder how much is coaching a development. EJ made everything look easy and i think a large part of that was FSUs coaching staff slowing down the game for him and drilling the reads in his head
  17. Fsu fana made plenty of noise and made their prescense felt. Time to stop blaming ray jay and blame the fan base. I confronted multiple people for not standing up in the student section (100 level nonetheless) and was told we are all one team, no need to rag on people for sitting down lol. Absolute joke. You can give me the whole "its too comfortable" speech but its time to face the facts. If its soooo comfortable why did 20% of the student section leave in the 3rd quarter??
