  2. Just enjoy the ride through the rest of the season. The most you will see are different players on the field at certain positions. I doubt any coach is gone until the end of the season (see Doug Woolard's statement).
  3. I believe AW has a very good shot at playing at the next level, based on his ceiling and intangibles. If he comes to USF and plays good football he will shine and get noticed. All it takes is a good season and everyone will start to claim him as the best QB in the conference, which will create a lot of hype. If he can do that and continue to play at a high level, the sky is the limit. Coming to USF will allow him to start making a name for himself sooner rather then later, IMO. At an SEC type program, he will probably have 1-2 years to showcase his talent depending on the school and at USF he will have 3-4 (95% sure it will be 4) years to do the same. It will allow him to work out some kinks, if need be.
  4. I am writing a letter for sure. Nobody is held accountable for their actions and its pathetic. I could watch a losing team if it looked like we were improving or showing heart, but this is horrendous.
  5. The WR's need to run back towards the QB when he is looking for someone to throw to. That creates separation and puts them between the defender and the ball. It's basic football.
  6. this guy is drunk-- never count some team as an easy win this guy is not drunk, yet.....and I never said it would be easy. I said it would be easier than some would believe. I was just trying to add some positive karma to this board. Thanks Debbie Downer. Hard to call out a team like Temple as a sure win after losing to Ball State. Exactly, Bull Martin! This Temple team is coming off of a bye week and has had a lot of time to prepare. Also, isn't this their homecoming game and their first game back in the Big East? So, I don't think they will just lay down for us. Our team better come out ready to play for 4 quarters and play with some passion. With that said, we should be able to run the ball against them and control the clock based on the their past performances this season. That will allow us to setup the pass game. To answer the question in the post, if we lose I will continue to support this team, but I will have a hard time doing so. I would also like to hear the coaches own up to their mistakes and give the fans a true account of what is happening and what they plan on doing to fix the issues.
  7. Asiantii will be the most talented QB on the depth chart right away. But, he will have some learning to do at the college level and the other QB's have had some experience, but not much. I think our coaching staff will let it go to an "on the field competition." I believe the coaches will end up starting Asiantii from game 1, so that he can start getting used to the game at college speed and he can start building a foundation with his receivers. The more time he spends passing to the receivers, the better we will be in the future. I would rather him come in and make mistakes early because he will be the future of our program.
  8. All I see is Skip taking over a team and it taking a nosedive. How will the graph look at the end of this season? If I don't see the BE wins shoot up, it will be a telling sign of the times to come, IMO. Let's hope for success the rest of the season and revisit this graph at a later date.
  9. I agree with Doubledown. Although, the coaches called a play that could arguably be a bad play call, a second string QB in a D1 (BCS conference) should be able to handle that situation for 1 play.
  10. Read this article by Greg Auman: http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bulls/content/injury-penalty-missed-block-led-key-fsu-td The article explains what happened before and during the play and it might clear up some confusion.
  11. Kenyatta Walker? Didn't he play for UF. I think you are talking about Walt Walker, who was our Offensive Tackle and is my current manager at work. I think he meant Kenyatta Jones. I think you're right. However, Walt Walker was no slouch himself and could teach these young guys up front now a thing or two.

  13. I'm a Cowboys fan i'll take it. The Cowboys secondary went from weak to good in one season. Last year, Mike Jenkins was injured a lot and there wasn't much other help. This year, we drafted M.Claiborne and picked up B. Carr and we have a healthy M. Jenkins!!
  14. I want whatever you're smoking. This FSU team is on a possible NC run and beat Clemson by 12. We couldn't handle Ball State and the excuse that it was just 1 bad game isn't valid. We've seen this team play this way for many games now. BJ is going to wear down running for his life and our defense will be exhausted after the 1st half of trying to stop their run game.
  15. I think we should run an offense like ULM, with BJ Daniels as our QB. Not only is BJ more athletic then their QB, but has better passing skills. The offense they are running is efficient and it's working against decent teams. The thing about their QB is he releases the ball immediately and doesn't hold onto it in this offense. Also, the designed QB run plays work very well.
  16. I'm curious to see if the play calling changes a lot. Also, I would like our offense to experiment a little if we can take a good lead on Ball State. I'm just hoping to see a solid game with good time management, good play calling and low penalties/turnovers. I need to see pure fundamental football and a team that looks like they prepared for THIS game. That would ease my anxiety a little going into the following week and beyond.
