I'm sure that USF's offered a lower salary, but Coaches have agents to and they will do their job. After 3 years??? If he does a great job after 1 season then he might be negotiating a new a extension. Jobs up north will come open and Coach Masiello will be a name that comes up for one of those jobs. If he is gone after 1 year he is gone. I am not afraid to lose a coach because of success. Btw, who is the last coach USF lost for success? We should write into his contract, if he leaves after 1 year he has to foot the bill for Holtz, Heath, Cosh, Leavitt, and Doug.
