  1. He's "animated" until he loses a game. He's a "jerk" afterward.
  2. Its official. Someone just updated his WIkipedia page.
  3. Disagree. 1.25M per year is more than acceptable for a basketball coach in a conference like hours. We're quadrupling his pay and bringing him to a lower cost state as well. 1.24M is a heavy price to pay for potential. We are quadrupling his salary on potential. We couldn't we just triple his salary? Why couldn't we renegotiate after 3 good years here? If this is your man then you have to get him by all means. I'm sure that USF's offered a lower salary, but Coaches have agents to and they will do their job. After 3 years??? If he does a great job after 1 season then he might be negotiating a new a extension. Jobs up north will come open and Coach Masiello will be a name that comes up for one of those jobs. If he is gone after 1 year he is gone. I am not afraid to lose a coach because of success. Btw, who is the last coach USF lost for success? We should write into his contract, if he leaves after 1 year he has to foot the bill for Holtz, Heath, Cosh, Leavitt, and Doug.

  5. Because finishing near the bottom of the conference or in last place from the top of our high horse is so much more rewarding... I'm channeling my inner Bull Daly.
  6. Goes to show that facilities do not equal success.
  7. Opening line on USF muffing the hire? I'm going with -110.
  8. BW laughs at your research. He KNOWS Notre Dame is better. Case closed.
  9. It all depends on the timeline we're talking about. In the next 10 years, I'd like to be able to care about the NCAA tournament for reasons other than my gambling addiction. It'd just be nice to start a season with the expected result being a bid more often than not. Let's start there.
  10. Miller http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/tournament/2014/story/_/id/10665372/archie-miller-dayton-flyers-contract-extended-2018-19
  11. LOL You've obviously never been to the Bronx. It appears that you haven't been in the parts of Tampa that he's referring to! Which parts are those? West Tampa. If you think West Tampa is anything like the Bronx, you need to travel a little more.
  12. LOL You've obviously never been to the Bronx. It appears that you haven't been in the parts of Tampa that he's referring to! Which parts are those? The parts with the Yankee's Stadium. I wasn't referring to geography per se, more along the lines of NYers living in Tampa. My question was, what parts of Tampa are like living in the Bronx? Not, what parts of the Bronx are like the Bronx?

  14. As long as you don't do any conditioning in the field house, you should be fine.
  15. I like this guy too much for us to make it happen. He's going to do well at Wake.
  16. Better hope no one comes after him this weekend before our AD starts work.
  17. Harlan has already said that there are tons of candidates interested in the USF job. Either he is lying or USF will have the opportunity. It makes me feel better knowing that we're either going to get a good coach or we're not.
  18. He's still coaching right now, which makes his style better than Heath.
  19. By the time we formed a committee to evaluate that request, she was all booked up. You'll have to make due with Rosy Palmer. If I represent USF, I'll screw that up too. Gotta trim nails first! Only if you're gonna jiggle the balls.
