  1. No, we're hiring this girl: http://www.linkedin.com/in/ingridpoole
  2. So I guess this pool was in fact for our new athletic director, if Voodoo Five is correct. Niiiiiiiiiice, man.
  3. Did anyone miss the start the article? Let me quote it again for everyone. We could have a new athletic director next FRIDAY?! Oooh, that would be good. Hoping for Parker or Bonasorte.
  4. Gotta love our dream team...one tweet and they're all over him. He's probably a Florida target, but maybe if we stay on him? Would love to see Gator and Noles fans going apoplectic as they wonder how a five star defensive end is considering USF next January.
  5. This guy won Tampa a Stanley cup! He's won pretty much every award in the league! He's led the league in scoring multiple times! What more does he need to deserve respect?
  6. Don't forget Mongolia! Who'd we have from Mongolia? A relative of Genghis? I forgot his name - the sumo wrestler who never ended up playing a down. Wasn't that guy German or something?
  7. So Pakistan made the final against Sri Lanka on saturday at 3 AM. I'm probably going to post another thread for it just for the fun of it...so expect a bit of an overnight thread fest.
  8. So was Houston Nutt. I don't see anyone hanging all over Nutt.
  9. While doing my random USF googling last night, I found this little nugget: http://collegead.org/college-ad-scoop/ If you search for University of South Florida on the page, it lists Tim Jackson, formerly from Auburn, as a potential AD candidate. here's what it says: "Sources tell College AD, Auburn Executive Associate Athletics Director Tim Jackson may very well be in the mix for to become USF's next Athletic Director. Tim Jackson has had ties in the past to Eastman & Beaudine, the executive search firm hired to assist in the AD search." It would be an interesting hire, but I'm not sure I'm a fan. He basically spent two decades around the Auburn program before getting let go in the Chizik push out. Given some of the things that happened (i.e. the possible bribing of Cam Newton) to come there, how can we be sure we can trust a guy like this?
  10. I actually like this idea for recruiting purposes. it's the offseason-by doing so you're basically coming to recruits, and more importantly, you're giving the coach an opening to talk to players, and maybe give recruits a chance to initiate contact-the players can contact as much as they want right?
  11. Please don't subject us to that nightmare. Western Carolina was 2-10 last season. If that happens I believe the football program will likely be dissolved.
  12. That's awesome. Always good to have a reason to cheer for our sports teams. The new facilities donated by Dr. Chowdhari must really be helping.
  13. For you Smazza? Well, for you you get the unique pleasure of being smacked by a cricket bat after every cheer.
  14. Tough tough series. I was happy to see that they rebounded and got wins in the second two games against Columbia. Now the competition takes another step. Let's do it.
  15. Can you quit complaining about everything for just once in your life?
  16. Well, if he decides to leave can we have him? Why have Willie when you can have the big guy?
  17. Okay, the home uniform looks better. Not a fan of the road, but the home is okay. It still looks like a mix between the Bengals and the Buccaneers. Not sure how much I like that.
  18. Depends on what you're watching. I can, but not every one can sit through a test match. It's just a very tough thing to do. ODIs? Easier to watch, for sure. T20s? Now those are four hours of fireworks...and if you're bored later this summer the World T20 will be on WatchESPN... Don't some games, matches, whatever, go on for days? The Test matches do. They can last up to five days. There used to be a format called a "timeless test". Those could theoretically go on forever, but they were scrapped a few decades ago. ODIs are usually about 8 hours-so be prepared to give your day up. Bright side,if you go see it live, they usually have a lot of berm seating...so you can tailgate practically all game I'd assume (haven't had a chance to go to a game). There's actually a full sized international standard pitch down in lauderhill, about an hour north of Miami. the U.S. usually plays it's Auty Cup matches against Canada there. You also sometimes see an international match there every couple of years-usually a T20I, and they hold them on back to back days. The West Indies played New Zealand there last. THere was talk of a Pakistan-West Indies series there but they couldn't get the visas cleared in time last year. T20s (also known as twenty twenty) are 4 hours long at most. They're so short that it's a constant climax the entire game. Huge shots, tons of scoring, sudden changes in momentum...it's not dissimilar from watching an Arena football game. Most people think the T20 format is the easiest to export to the United States, but as you can guess, it hasn't really taken much hold, mostly because our national team is awful.
  19. I'm not a fan. The old uniforms were classy and looked decent. This makes our Golld-white-gold look decent.

  21. That's actually amusing. And guys, I might make another thread...if Pakistan wins the Asia cup next weekend. We'll see though. Seriously, I love cricket. It's my second sporting love after football.
  22. http://www.espncricinfo.com/asia-cup-2014/engine/match/710301.html Pakistan vs. India. Pakistan fires multiple times and holds India to an average at best score of 245. Pakistan then rolls early, collapses a bit in the middle, then rallies back in the middle to late overs to take control of the game again. Then India fires back in the last 2-3 overs to keep themselves in the game. Then Shahid Afridi shows why Pakistan is NEVER out of a game with him with to massive shots for six to finish of India! THRILLER! Never doubt! This is cricket!
  23. Todd Chandler and Elkino Watson were destroying all the lineman in the 1-on-1s Well, that's certainly not a good sign. Looks like we still have lots of work to do.
  24. So how was it? I was going to come but got tied down by work-darn tax season. How's the offense looking? are the weight gains paying off in 1-on-1s and what not?
  25. Good stuff. Little concerned that Ruff and Djulbegovic aren't challenging the starters yet, unless it means that the starters have improved enough that it'll be difficult to cross the gap.
