I'm well aware that it looks like Marcus Shaw is going to be out for a while. I saw him on crutches last night, though as he was walking out of the game he actually just held them and walked out of the field on his own power for a bit at least.
However, UConn is has allowed over 150 yards in all of it's games, and that's despite holding opposing Qbs to a relatively low completion percentage. Towson ran for 200 yards, Maryland for 224, Michigan for 173, and Buffalo for 153.
The associated QB completion stats?
Towson: 13-20 for 192 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Maryland: 15-28 for 277 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Michigan: 13-25 for 111 yards, no TDs, 2 INTs
Buffalo: 10-21 for 177 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT
While they've improved every game, you have to think this is an opportunity for our running game to put up some huge numbers-200-250 yards if we're well prepared. I don't know how much we can rely on the QBs this game with the way they defend the pass.
