    To me, it all depends on how many games the coaches think Fortin would add to the win total. If they think they can win 6+ games with Fortin and only 3 with McClain, then play Fortin. If they think Fortin is better right now but isn't going to necessarily add too much more to the win column then just play McClain. If he looks lost out there then it is an easy change to make.

    If McClain has the higher ceiling then you might as well just play him. Fortin has three years left. If McClain is that talented, he isn't gonna sit behind him for three years. It will be better for him to take his lumps when there are no expectations. If he is terrible, then you can just switch to Fortin.

    The way Scott talks about McClain makes me think he should just give him the keys to the car and go with it.

    Throwing a better ball doesn't get better results in college football all the time. Grothe and BJ threw better balls than Flowers and they also threw way less TD's and way more INT's.

    Ha! 112 TD's in 3 seasons...if McClain did that in 4 years he would be one of the best we have ever had. I hope you are right but that is a ridiculously tall order.

    Rothstein was very high on us the last few years and that didn't work out. It is difficult to project anything from them right now. You could probably pick the starting 5 out of a hat right now.

    We had a bad Pop Warner coaching staff last year...and we still have most of them on staff.

    Optimism is great but we have garbage talent and a suspect coaching staff...3-4 wins seems to be where we are headed.

    The draft is only 20 rounds this year and there is not a whole lot of draft eligible talent on the team. Lane, Jasiak and Kerkering are the best prospects and they aren't eligible. Hogan is 24 years old already and would go if he gets drafted but I would not expect him to get picked. Pena, Jake Sullivan, Eaton and Gonzalez are eligible but highly unlikely they would get drafted. Lord, Sanchez and Stuart are long shots too at this point. As far as I can tell, Colin Sullivan, Burns and Lyle are the only guys that are out of NCAA eligibility.

    Playing in a super regional in baseball gets you more name recognition than being in the US News top 25.. Someone should tell that board that.
