I think he stays, but not out of loyalty or work to do. I just don't think he did enough to prove he's worth hiring as a HC at a P5 school...no disrespect to him.
And, am I alone in thinking Taggart is not the right HC for FSU? One article said he's regarded as one of the best offensive minded coaches here. My view is he was mediocre, shoving that square peg into the round hole, till he finally caved in v Maryland for Homecoming, in 2015, and turned Flowers & the team loose, to save his job. Once he saw how well it worked, no turning back.
I'm not bitter, though it may seem to some that I am...I just think he's greatly over rated. Amazing recruiter, and he'll pull talent to Oregon or FSU, but as far as being a great coach, I just don't see it.
