  1. Yeah, lets hope we can manage to beat them in baseball. (hint, they don't have a baseball team)
  2. Rain delay. 14-3, still in the bottom of the 8th. FSU has bases loaded, 2 outs.
  3. No chance in hell Ray Jay becomes a neutral stadium.
  4. Game 2 may be even worse since USF will blow through the bullpen in game 1.
  5. FSU 5 - USF 0 through 2 Game is on ESPN3, btw.
  6. Game 1 has started. 3-0 FSU after the 1st inning.
  7. Nice. Wish we didn't have to wait for the home opener. Also wish I was more excited to see this team in person lol. With the next 4 coming against FSU and UCF, that home opener against Toledo will be a sight for sore eyes.
  8. Is there a message board over there? If so, it would be a perfect place for some here to relocate to. They'd fit right in and have a blast ... maybe smazza could drive the bus over. You'd basically be alone here.
  9. Indiana is the big ten favorite, Louisville is obviously good, and Purdue is rebuilding after a conference title. We will be embarrassed in Tallahassee. USF's only shot is if a young, inexperienced Seminole team plays sloppy baseball.
  10. NBC, Yahoo, CBS now reporting @florida_news: #news South Florida gives graduating punter special teams award, and misspells his ... - Yahoo! Sports (blog) http://t.co/EMUQCbBI @gregauman: This USF football plaque typo story for punter Justin Brockhaus-Kann has, aptly, legs. CBS, Yahoo with posts on national blogs now. #jbk Someone's head needs to roll Heads need to roll?? You've got to be kidding. First, national blogs is not "reporting". Second, we must have the thinnest skinned group of fans I've ever seen ... A sign you're old. A blog is sadly considered "reporting" in the 21st century. Given social media, this story has been seen more times than you could imagine. And yes, it's funny it was blown up by USF fans. If voodoo5 didn't post it, not many people would have noticed. Greg may have written a blurb about it.
  11. And tampas streetcar thanks to the auto industry. I start planning school in the fall, and Tampas awful history of planning helped influence that decision. Anywaysssss, back on topic haha... I'm thinking of doing a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning at USF. Where are you going to do "planning school?" I'll be at either FSU or UF. Already got into FSU but I'm still waiting on UF's decision. I don't really have a preference on either one, as both will provide me with what I'm after and are top 25 Planning departments according to Planetizen. USF's program is now in the brand new "school of public affairs", which will include the MPA program. It's definitely still in its infancy, but the professors that teach in the program are mostly people I have had for undergrad coursework and I can say I've enjoyed my time with them. Also: the job market in planning is a bit iffy right now, and entry level jobs can be tough to obtain. I'm a realist about things, but I'm also optimistic because I'm a bit more diversified in my goals as well as background. If you have anymore questions feel free to shoot me a message... I've done my homework on this stuff and have met with various faculty across the state so I have some knowledge on what's going on out there.

Actually, planning IS the topic, no? We offer an MPP? USF started a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning in 2009... I'll be going elsewhere though.

  14. Yeah, it would have been such a prime location for something like a sandwich shop, burrito place, etc. It would have been able to pull from all the kids at Sterling, 4050 lofts, Avalon, and these new places, plus the andros area of campus. A real missed opportunity.
  15. The building? Apartments... thank you Captain Obvious! Where are they and why is there a picture of them in here? Not sure if you're just messing around now or not, but... They're where old Fontana hall used to be on the corner of Fletcher and 42nd. And there's a picture of them in the thread because they're the topic of the thread.
  16. They should have put retail on the first floor... Meh, oh well.
  17. This. If this team still sucks this bad in 2 seasons, then fire him.
  18. Yeah, just sexual assault, no big deal. Jeeze.
  19. Jeff Vinik has put about 50 million dollars of his own into the Forum. The Lightning also have sold out their first 4 home games this year and have seen attendance skyrocket since Vinik took over. It's amazing what good customer service can do.
  20. https://nfca.org/index.php/front-page-news/5024-alabama-starts-2013-at-no-1-in-usa-todaynfca-division-i-top-25-preseason-poll 12. USF 14. UF 18. Louisville 25. FSU
  21. Such a huge day, wow. And I have a feeling we'll land a few more soon.
