  1. Apologies - I did not read your post correctly. I thought you were referring to debt-to-equity ratios when you mentioned debit to asset entries. Reading it again, it's clear that I need to just stay within my engineering degree and let others discuss finance!
  2. Dude becomes a member and finds a post that is 12 years old? I'm intrigued. I'm really wanting to know what happened to Hakim as well now.
  3. It's simple - we want them fired so that we feel adequate punishment has been handed out (and hopefully will warn others to think twice), but because we believe in second chances, we allow them to be hired elsewhere.
  4. He was stopped a little after 2. Wasn't until after 5 he was charged. And "professionals" can demonstrate quite unusual behavior when they're drunk!
  5. How have we been able to keep him this long? Why has his success not taken him elsewhere? Is the pay for WBB coaches much more in parity across the league?
  6. He's using announced - not actuals. I was there but unfortunately I was probably just starting to stalk this board in 2005 and didn't join until May of 2007.
  7. Except I think I read somewhere that he won't be playing due to his ankle injury we all saw during the bowl game.
  8. Yes - the running backs are deep, and it is about dreams & dollars, but it's also about timing. I'm suggesting that just perhaps he's thinking his role is going to get diminished by Strong's attempt to get recognition (aka publicity) for Flowers and his program. Mack may also see a little bit of reduced time on the field from hopefully being able to put back ups in the last quarter of the games. Timing.
  9. Interested to see how Strong chooses to approach the quarterback role next year. Try to push for a Heisman nomination for Flowers by leaving him in the game long enough to put up the big numbers, or develop the QB that will be at the helm the next season. Kean did not get very many reps last year thanks to the defense keeping things tight, and if there's not much improvement, Strong may not have the choice to take QF out. Also wonder if a QF Heisman push had any influence in Mack figuring now was time to leave
  10. I think this post displays the ability of one's mind to remember only good things and block out the bad. I wish I was better at doing that because I remember feeling pretty miserable about the 2007 team after the collapse at Rutgers and the remainder of the season - including lugging my tv out to Fort Desoto on a camping trip to watch the bowl game and drinking away that embarrassment. I got nothing out of that season other than being overrated as a result of over achieving early on.
  11. Better year? 2016. All the arguments about 2007 focus on the early part of the season. We got embarrassed (some would say exposed) in the second half of the season and never came close to winning the bowl game.
  12. In the case of the Sheffields, I believe they hold season tickets to men's and women's basketball. Maybe even baseball. The beauty of a diversified portfolio!
  13. Wow. I work with Karen and knew she was going to the game but never asked her how she got the tickets!
  14. Let's get the billboards back up!
  15. Here's to hoping Illinois loses only to us next year!
  16. Yes - and to be honest, I was in Section 9 and I heard the USCe band waayyyy better than our own (obviously due to the direction the horns are pointed). When I rewatched it, I was actually impressed with our fans when I heard our sections in the background on TV.
  17. I've done the game, the pep rally, and the alumni tailgate in the past, but never did all of them at the same Bowl game until this one - what a blast. I understand if financially folks couldn't attend the game or do all the events associated (that's the reason this was the first year I went all in), but you may want to start setting a little aside each month now because I've got a good feeling we'll be doing this Bowl thing again next year. Go Bulls!
  18. And defining what a ****load of money is what the debate will be about. It won't be enough for me but I don't write the check to pay the bills. I say let FSU play whoever they want in RJS including USF as long as it doesn't count as one of our home games. Just like Illinois plays at Soldier Field every couple of years to keep exposure in Chicago.
  19. Publicly it's because he's respecting the coaches that got this team to the bowl game and letting them finish their work. Privately he's trying not to get too attached to the staff he's about to clear out.
  20. So we finally get an OCS for all the home atmosphere and benefits that come with it and we give it all up when FSU comes to town? No thanks - that's a game where we'd need our OCS the most. Go to RJS and we turn a home game into an away or neutral (probably not) atmosphere. Of course those that make that decision will chase the dollars most likely and we'll have this discussion again on here someday!
  21. Tailgate tent, golf ball markers was pretty much all this year. Was hoping for some more car magnets for the road trip to Bama but may have to grab those myself.
