  1. My gfriend is a Stanford grad and told me the same thing (also a MD, maybe everyone who graduates from there is a DR) I visited there this summer, amazing campus, I would never leave if I went there! Thx, jonpfl seems like there are lots of students on every campus like that
  2. recruiting for CUSA2 shouldn't be a reach at all needs to bring Woodie and Blackwell from WK
  3. “I had been previously talking with Coach Scott so they were already recruiting me before Coach Holtz was fired,†White said. “As soon as they hired coach Taggart, Coach Scott showed him my film and they offered. I took a couple of minutes to talk with my family and my coaches and I decided to commit.†http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/blogs/recruiting/os-university-school-qb-michael-white-wins-state-title-commits-to-usf-20121208,0,1879670.post
  4. wrong! coach T reviewed his films with coach scott before the offer was made overlooked so far in comments here is that the young man is SMART, a big requirement in CWT offense
  5. many high school coaches are as close to a father-figure as the player has. for sure the coach should warn the young man about college coaches he thinks are a bad fit
  6. this is exactly the way to be successful as the #4 program in the state. we will not be battling for the same guys at each position. give me boring winning any day, please
  7. . . in the long run? Un-splashy, but winning seasons. Never quite to the level of THE major program. I hope so.
  8. sorry et, but that doesn't get the impact of a photo of the actual front page
  9. Not the sports section front page, the front page! 2/3 of the front page is a upper body pic of CWT. I wish I could describe how much of a sea change this is in gator-loving area this is. (I also wish I had the technical capabilities to get you a photo, but one of the younger guys will get it up here I'm sure.)
  10. . .. will the academic committee be a big impediment to his recruiting success?
  11. It will be fun going to games again, even if we go 3-9 next year. He doesn't have to win on the field next year, but he has to win in recruiting in what he adds to this class and especially who he brings in next year.
  12. from today's Bradenton Herald: At least Manatee High football fans had one reason to rejoice Friday night. Willie Taggart, the quarterback on the Hurricanes’ 1992 state title-winning team, will be named the new head football coach at the University of South Florida http://www.bradenton.com/2012/12/07/4308483/reports-manatees-willie-taggart.html Read more here: http://www.bradenton.com/2012/12/07/4308483/reports-manatees-willie-taggart.html#storylink=cpy
  13. great hire; lots of upside. he'll prove the doubters wrong, but some will never be happy w/ him
  14. excellent deduction; Tags is gone from wku
  15. when looking to evaluate any of our prospective coaches as to their recruiting ability, I think the thing that is critical to consider is, did he get better kids to his school than the program 'deserved'. Quinn getting 4 stars to UF is squat compared to WT getting 2/3 stars to WKU
  16. two very different breeds and recruiting to different level of play. wt likely holds his own against bd
  17. If I remember correctly, Bowling Green KY is in central. correct; and BG is 150 miles from anywhere. how he got 30 FL kids to come up there is beyond me
  18. fitch and his offense were not the problem this season. almost every new coach has a couple holdovers from the previous staff for continuity purposes (and to point out where the skeletons are buried) fitch would be angling for one of these gigs and it would likely not have to be oc
  19. he is too smart for this; he knows that when purpose ends, life ends. I'd like to see him hook up with Tony Dungy's off-field programs or Wuerful's in NO
  20. Woolard will solidify his legacy at USF with this decision, so he needs to make it wisely and quickly.
  21. USF is one of the very best of the 3rd tier jobs in the country with the very real possibility of making it into a top 2nd tier program. Someone who likes a challenge with potential will jump at this job.
  22. depends on the amount and quality of juco in-fills by new coach
  23. +100000 Don't blame the kid ... Blame Satan's tool, Twitter. why Trip, you gettin' religious on us
