  1. Awesome, thanks a lot. Funny that it says "highlights courtesy of ESPN" at the top when the highlights are actually from CBS.
  2. Agreed. Also, the game is replaying tomorrow on CBS Sports (same channel) for those who want to see it. It hurt so bad watching it, though But it will be so much sweeter when you already know the ending! I'll DVR it so I can watch the end again. Nothing else.
  3. They said on TV it was "turf burn." I don't know that I've ever heard that term before, but it didn't sound serious at all. The announcers laughed when they heard that's what it was because he looked like he was seriously hurt and it wound up being something (apparently) so minor.

  5. Second. My DVR recording of the game didn't work for some reason. Highlights with the announcing would be appreciated (even though the announcers sucked).
  6. His 191 receiving yards is a school record for a single game.
  7. He had 191 yards on the day, that's the most ever, right? I don't think USF has ever had a 200-yard receiving game by any player.
  8. The defense closed the first half strong after the three touchdown drives - several stops and a turnover. They came out weak in the second half, but came up with a HUGE stop in a critical situation in the closing minutes.
  9. Hey Cpa_Bull, you seem to have disappeared from the chat after declaring the game lost and over repeatedly throughout the fourth quarter. I was wondering if you are OK? Sorry you had to endure an amazing USF victory. The USF players apparently didn't get your message that the game was over though.
  10. You seem to be of the ignorant, uninformed opinion that the Big East schedule is in any way whatsoever a decision being made by Doug Woolard. This game was scheduled years ago, and the Big East schedule is handed down to the ADs. They have no control over it. Which game was scheduled year ago? Nothing, I had written something different and failed to edit the post correctly. It doesn't matter when the Nevada game was scheduled. You probably had such a hard on to call someone ignorant that you forgot to check your post first. No, I had written, "out of conference games each year were typically scheduled years ago," or something like that, then changed it when I remembered this game was scheduled more recently, but didn't delete the whole thing by mistake. I already said that in the post you quoted, but reading is hard, I know. Regardless, it doesn't matter when the Nevada game was scheduled. It was scheduled before the Big East schedule was released.

  13. It makes perfect sense, actually, unless you or someone you know was going to pay for it.
  14. Agreed. And a quick glance at ESPN's Big East blog (which I never actually read) shows stories praising UConn and Temple in the recent posts. To just arbitrarily choose this one story, which wasn't even produced by NBC, and claim it is evidence of NBC "LOVING" the Big East is nothing more than wishful thinking based on the rumors linking the two via a TV deal. NBC doesn't treat the Big East much different from ESPN in its coverage. MAYBE *slightly* less negativity, but I don't see it in any substantial way. EDIT: Oh, but ESPN definitely does run AP stories. All the time. They probably just didn't see the need to pick up this one because it looks to me like they already have similar things written about individual teams in the Big East blog, and because in reality Week One didn't really offer a whole lot to deflect the criticism aimed at the Big East - the league beat up on a bunch of patsies (or didn't, in Pitt's case). To pretend that literally every single word ESPN produces about the Big East is unfavorable is just comical though.
  15. He was a constant disruptive force in the Cowboys' backfield. He had a good game. Even though Romo was only sacked twice, the Giants' D-line had him running all over. Romo just had a great game, aided by injuries to the Giants' defensive backs.
  16. Sorry JPP, you don't qualify. But you are a hall of famer in my book. Pretty sure that just means they can't have any eligibility remaining, which is certainly true of Pierre-Paul. You don't think a three-year starter at quarterback who was good enough to leave a year early and go to the NFL would be eligible? Of course he would.
  17. Not quite. He went 15th. Still the highest draft pick in school history, and probably will remain so for a long time.
  18. I was surprised that the columnist from the paper in Reno, Chris Murray, kept USF in his ballot but kept Nevada out.
  19. Yes, one voter who had USF at No. 21 dropped them off his ballot, one voter who had USF at No. 25 dropped them. That is the six points the Bulls lost. No voters who didn't have USF on their ballot last week added them this week. Other changes were Phil Miller moving USF up one spot to No. 23 and (Long) John Silver moving USF down a spot to No. 25.
  20. The voters who had them ranked were: Phil Miller (Minneapolis Star Tribune) - No. 23 Chris Murray (Reno Gazette-Journal) - No. 25 (Long) John Silver (Journal Inquirer [Manchester, Connecticut]) - No. 25
  21. Raymond James would still not be an "on-campus stadium" in this circumstance. In reality, little to nothing would change in this hypothetical arrangement.
  22. So nobody who has ever been arrested should be allowed to go to college? Or is it only USF that should institute this policy? I promise you there are people enrolled at USF who have been convicted not only of the same crime, but of more serious ones. You are no more or less in danger by kicking this one dude out who stole a phone one time.
  23. Who IS a "fan of a thief" exactly? That's not the point. The point is, not every crime is the same, not every crime deserves the same punishment, and even, not every person who commits a crime is a terrible person or doomed to be a terrible person forever. I've read this thread, I don't see anyone saying what this dude did was good or OK, only that it's not worthy of the extreme rhetoric that one dude is providing in response to it.
