  1. I knew about this story well before someone decided to start a thread about it. Also, you're comparing a movie to a real-life murder. Maybe someday you'll have a child murdered by a guy named Favre or Manning, or better yet a running back named Hall. Hopefully you'll still be able to see the humor in the situation.
  2. The original poster took edited it out of the story. The person murdered was an 11-month-old boy. What the person who started this thread failed to realize is that the joke wasn't funny to begin with, let alone when you take into account you guys are laughing about a murder. Of a baby.
  3. yeah that's real ******* funny. An infant is killed and you ass-holes laugh about it because the murderer has the same last name as your team's quarterback. That's great. ******* losers.
  4. 1. It's not just that the opponents won't bring as many fans...many, many USF fans and students don't care enough to drive down the interstate to go watch USF play UConn, FIU or Rutgers (especially when there's a good chance of them losing...and before you respond, remember they lost to UConn last year). When teams ranked in the top 10 or 15 in the country come to town, people don't care about the win/loss as much (although the potential to see the Bulls win a big game is obviously a draw for many fans) and are coming just to see a great team in action. Now as USF grows more competitive in a bigger conference, that interest will rise, but for now people just don't care. 2. USF DOES depend on opponents' fans to boost the attendance count, whether you want to accept it or not.
  5. That's not going to happen with Louisville and West Virginia both on the road this year.
  6. It should be noted that the only sport in which USF ever won a national championship was women's swimming and diving (I think it was women's...), a Division II title in 1985 or 1986. Two years later, the team no longer existed.
  7. Safe bet? Yes. Lock? No. A couple wins in the Big East Tournament, however, would pretty much assure them a spot. And a couple wins in the tourney looks like a definite possibility because, for one thing, the team is **** good and, for another, they're probably going to win at least two, maybe all three remaining games, ,which would give most likely give them the three or four seed in the BE Tournament.
  8. OK, so that covers 2001...but I think it's 2006 now. What you posted would seem to say that a win of McNeese St. won't count: "According to postseason eligibility bylaws, a Division I-A team can use an exception once every four years to count a victory against a Division I-AA opponent toward the minimum number of wins necessary to become bowl eligible."
  9. About bowl eligilibility...I thought the rule was teams can only count wins over IAA teams once very three years towards eligibility. In fact, I'm certain that's the rule. USF needed a win over FAMU last year to get to six wins, , so why would the game with McNeese State count? Is there some kind of scholarship exemption? I remember a couple years ago when the Bulls played whatever team had the receiver get injured really badly (Nicholls St. I believe?), the same question was raised and the answer was something along the lines of "If the IAA team has X number of scholarship players, than once every three years a IA team can count a win over them towards bowl eligibility." Can someone give me a definitive answer (i.e., a link to a news story or rule or something)?
  10. Now when recruits say they won't come here cause they actually wanna see some postseason action, Mac can promise at least one opportunity.
  11. You give Louisville too much credit...the Cardinals lost by 31, not 21. That said, you're a fool if you actually go in to Louisville in 2006 expecting a win.
