  1. And on that topic, some interesting points here: "Why Ex Florida State QB Clint Trickett Should Not Transfer to Auburn" http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1617873-why-ex-florida-state-qb-clint-trickett-should-not-transfer-to-auburn
  2. What is Auburn's QB situation like? Wish I knew what was going on in this kid's head... if starting is his priority, you couldn't find a better situation than USF. If he just wants to be around some good ol' boys, maybe Auburn's the place to be -- he seems to be REALLY into the whole southern identity thing.
  3. This entire "voting on tradition" debacle is embarrassing
  4. Add the high price to the fact that Stetson is not a good law school, I think this is a net loss unfortunately.
  5. No interest in this kid. Most of the schools that offered him would not promise that he would be at QB, and he has obviously proved those schools right. Also have heard horrible stories about this kid's attitude from those in the know.
  6. I'm interested in the receiver he is throwing to...
  7. They are educated but also corrupt. That is why they sign off.
  8. God I hope this happens... but in the end is a watered down ACC any better then a new more regional conference? Yes.
  9. I know Christina in Tampa sent out several emails to anyone in the Alumni email database and we sent emails out to anyone who has opted in to our newsletter for this event over the past month or so. If you would like to subscribe to our newsletter you can do so here: http://usfalumni.us1.list-manage.com/subscribe?u=2aa260f1d5e5d4cb9b2ed718f&id=32cff8fe5c Emails you will receive include bi-monthly updates on what events the Chapter has in store for the future along with some insight in the happenings with the University and Alumni Spotlights on some of our local Bulls. That's what I was looking for - thanks.
  10. That's kind of the problem. I'm all for second chances but whatever excuses may be made it looks like all 4 of these kids were linked to, or benefited from, an extremely violent crime perpetrated on an innocent student. Not something I can give a free pass on.
  11. Is there a way to get notice further in advance for this kind of thing? Would love to go but hard to make plans work on short timeline.
  12. This wasn't something that can be dismissed with "oh, peer pressure." They beat some poor kid within an inch of his life to rob him. When you do that, YOU are the bad seed.
  13. We have plenty of depth on DL and desperately need help on offense, especially considering our switch to a power running game. No brainer to have him on offense.
  14. Interesting that Stanford offered Trickett when Harbaugh and Taggart were still in full force there.
  15. All this over a misspelled name? Move along folks...
  16. Over the past 7 or 8 years, we have been objectively better than them all but one of those years. We've had far more national attention over that time. Think the first year coach thing is a wash given the local buzz Taggart has gotten and the fact that he had a top 10 RB last year. Not saying reasonable people can't disagree, but still fail to see why UCF would be a better pick.
  17. Well, if we're not wanting to show any bias, why here rather than over there? What's their fullback situation like compared to ours? Because I think despite all the struggles we've have in the last couple years, we are still positioned (sligtly) better than UCF for medium- and long-term success. I suspect that he has the tools to start at either school given his offers (although who knows if he'll put it together).
  18. All other things being equal and trying to be as unbiased as possible, I really can't see why a running back would choose UCF over USF given that we now run basically the same offensive system.
  19. There is a simple way to deal with this: if your field is more than 50% covered in artificial coloring, you cannot wear a uniform that matches that coloring.
  20. I know, only reason I posted it was because that poster seems to have connections to that area and he just posted it last night, so I figured I'd throw it out there Fingers crossed. He would instantly be our best player on the offensive side of the ball. He's washed out at two schools already. Why do we think he would actually put forth the effort needed to succeed? If there is a choice, I'd much rather have Andrews from WKU. We know he'll put the work in and he knows the system. I have no idea what his issues were at UF and Auburn. Worst case, we take a flyer on the kid and he washes out. We had plenty of lazy and undisciplined players on the team last year who were far less talented than Blakely. I also have a soft spot as I am a fellow Manatee grad.
  21. Omogbehin looks totally lost out there. Has he even played basketball before?
