I haven't really done too much posting, but I had to write something to remember Charlie.
For the couple of years he called Virginia home he was the mascot for the USF alumni association in the area bringing excitement, cheer, laughter, and fun hats. I had the pleasure of watching many many football games with him and had the opportunity to form a true friendship with him.
In getting to know Charlie, he was a man of simple pleasures and adventure. Although he was not one to stay in one place for any length of time, I still remember the day he told me he purchased his dream home in Arlington not too far from my apartment at the time. He had been eyeing it for quite a while just hoping it would become available for him to snatch up. I'm happy that our friendly nomad was able to make Virginia his home for the few years he was here, and honored to have met someone who I believe has inspired or at least provided a brief respite from the difficulties of life to anyone he has been in the same room as Charlie.
Liz and I will be forever grateful to our friendship and memories. Rest in piece my friend.
