  1. As far as I'm concerned this guy missed his chance. Don't talk about how much you're in love with a school and are desperately waiting for an offer if you're only gonna string the process out and use it to promote yourself. This guy went to the Woulard school of recruit performance
  2. But Martin was already a pro kicker at that point, so a little different scenario there. Oh yeah, and the kicker vs. quarterback thing. If only playing QB was as simple as kicking...
  3. #USF essentially told Seminole Ridge RB Silas Spearman where he stands on its board. Getting to know him was the purpose of today's visit.
  4. WVU and Auburn were great. What about our first win against a ranked team AND our first Big East win... 2005 against #9 ranked Louisville. I remember watching Corso and Herbstreit on Gameday the morning before the game, talking about how Louisville would be undefeated when they met (some other undefeated team) in a couple weeks, and the winner of that game might be a NC-bound team. We spanked them up and down the field, 45-14. Was one of the most enjoyable football games I've ever been to.
  5. Sounds like we visited Benjamin today... âš¡Zach Benjamin â€@TheBigBird11 USF in da house ... Literally
  6. What a bummer. We've seen this happen a couple of times already in CWT's tenure, where people have been canned right after being kept on board, etc. Hope that's not a pattern, it's important to do things the right way.
  7. Not jilted, just happy we can save our schollies for someone who actually wants to be here.
  8. Hes going to need all the help he can get becasue Tubberville is up in Cincy now with some of his old Auburn coaches,, he will be the toughest opponent we face in the formerly big east.. Not if he keeps pissing off area recruits and area HS coaches... http://blogs.ajc.com/recruiting/2013/01/10/ex-cincy-recruit-on-tuberbville-its-a-bad-situation/ Add that to the list of classless Tuberville moves... no shocker.
  9. Good riddance, another guy who couldn't care less about being Bull.
  10. The point is that a joint fracture is MUCH more serious than cracking a bone. I could care less what you Google, I took xrays for orthopedics and ERs for a quarter of a century, in and out of the OR. So he did or not break his ankle? And does the lower fibula count as the ankle? And I'm not asking this to be an *******, I just sort of assumed the ankle was a region and not something you could actually specifically break. The ankle is a joint. It looks well above the joint, doesn't it? You will hear athletes that break their fibula and its not as big a deal and this is probably one of those situations, hopefully for him. You seem far more knowledgeable than I on this subject, so I'll defer, but your argument seems to be that the injury is not as serious as it could be rather than he didn't break his ankle. Either way, I don't find his tweets to be particularly reliable and I suspect that Asiantii has already ruled us out. Hope I'm pleasantly surprised come signing day.
  11. Just to clarify... he never said he wouldn't commit if offered, he said that he never publicly said that. (Which makes sense since his dad was the originator of that one, I think.) Also, he said that in the same tweet "I did NOT suffer a broken ankle." Don't know who he thinks he's fooling, since less than a month before he talked about the doctors inserting a plate/screws in his ankle "so it won’t break as easily again." (ref http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/recruiting/os-asiantii-woulard-says-usf-in-the-picture-as-is-nc-state-20121214,0,4554168.post) Not sure much, if anything, in those tweets has any weight to it...
  12. Word is he will commit on the UK visit if all goes well. Still think he's long gone.
  13. As bad as this season was, I sat in the stands and watched us lose to Army in front of what felt like a few thousand people, then get blown out by Pitt in front of what I'm sure was a few hundred... that felt more painful to me. Maybe just because I was there...
  14. Interesting you mention Raheem... I live in DC and follow the Skins; there was a huge power struggle this year between Haslett and Raheem, resulting in Shanahan giving Raheem play calling responsibilities in the 4th quarter (instead of Haslett). No idea if the structure you mention contributed to that. http://www.hogshaven.com/2012/9/19/3356874/source-raheem-morris-called-the-defensive-plays-in-the-fourth-quarter
  15. Sorry, I wasn't clear. I didn't mean a power struggle between him and Taggart. I meant that there would be both an Assistant Head Coach (Cooper) and Defensive coordinator (Bresnahan) on the defensive side of the ball, which seems odd to me.
  16. Hiring someone as Asst. HC and DB coach seems like a strange setup to me when you have a newly hired Defensive Coordinator in the mix as well... recipe for a power struggle. I'm interested to see how this plays out. Miami just hired Cristobel as AC and TE coach... so it has been done before But they don't have anyone between him and the HC since Golden runs the Offense.

  18. Also said "I'm trying to win a national championship".....
  19. Agreed... as I said on page 2 of this thread, this is something you expect out of a 17 year old, not a "classy" professional.
  20. Yeah your boss would be thrilled that you're staying (in this case Plant), but no one is contending that Plant isn't happy that he is staying. I guarantee that the people who offered you the job you accepted then reneged on wouldn't be as thrilled.
  21. Anyone know if it will be online? I assume GA will be there...
  22. "Kemp will choose between Kentucky, Pittsburgh and West Virginia as his final three teams and it will likley come down to both offensive style and comfortability with his final decision." http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/blogs/recruiting/os-deland-jojo-kemp-down-to-pittsburgh-kentcuky-west-virginia-20130107,0,820440.post Crack writing from the Orlando Sentinel, but it looks like we are officially out of the running.
